  1. He had some great years there and can probably put together a great staff. People in the know -- not blogger boys -- seem to really love him. If the search committee is excited about him, then I'm excited.
  2. This. 100 percent. It is so hard. Most of the time the plays are being sent in from the sidelines. And they're in shotgun all the time. It's nuts.
  3. Seattle has incredible facilities and arguably the most respected GM in the league. And an owner who is hands off. And it's become clear she isn't selling anytime soon. We have a lot to offer -- which is a huge change. But we also have terrible facilities -- thanks, Danny -- and the media is up in your business way more in the DMV than Seattle. Plus, not every coach wants to coach a rookie QB. They miss as much as they hit, if not more. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Johnson ends up in Seattle.
  4. Look at how the Lions are built. If they think McCarthy or whoever is up there with Daniels and Maye, they might trade back and work on building the line. You never know.
  5. Yep. And McCarthy has played under center and used a ton of PA. More experience in a pro style offense and handling the calls than the higher rated guys.
  6. Lots of people loved Stroud. Reich apparently wanted him. Projecting Levis over him and now killing people who have some questions about Maye is hilarious. Good Lord, he had Tanner McKee ranked higher. It's clear this guy likes QBs with certain measurable and appearance.
  7. Holy smokes, he had Levis over Stroud? Clear what he looks for in a player. Big and handsome. Shocking Danny Boy didn't employ him.
  8. thank God none of us are making the pick. Or the blogger boys who watch all-22 or the "scouts" on twitter, who never bring up how wrong they have been in the past. Such a crapshoot. The best strategy might be calling Danny boy on his yacht and asking what he would do, then do the opposite.
  9. Lot could happen, that's for sure. There were "experts" that were saying Levis would go top ten, for example. The process is just beginning. Think having a pretty good young backup option in Howell is a great thing.
  10. The UNC offense is very different than Ben Johnson's offense. As is LSU's. Michigan's offense -- lots of PA and under center -- has way more similarities. Of course, a good coach adapts to his players.
  11. Gut tells me it won't be Maye. And it will be a pretty strong consensus once the league really breaks down the tape, talks with coaches. The blogger boys and guys on twitter have been higher on Maye than people who actually watch the game. I saw Maye up close against Duke last year -- he was good and so was Riley Leonard -- but I think Daniels will the consensus number 2 after the teams really dig in. But hell, anything could happen. Maybe our new coach falls in love with Nix or McCarthy and we trade back, picking up a first and more. Projecting QBS is so damn hard. Plenty of guys who have gone mid to late first in recent years have panned out just fine.
  12. Florio pushing the Bill B narrative is the most obvious clickbait ever. Dude is 71, doesn't believe in analytics, etc... Harris will never hire him.
  13. There are plenty of mocks who have Caleb slipping to us or even past us. A lot could change after the workouts, etc -- it always does.
  14. We really might end up with Caleb. I don't know Harris could resist it.
  15. If our new GM and coach, think they should draft a QB, fine. Just as long as EB is nowhere in the picture .
  16. EB has been so exposed. Guys are rarely open. The only big plays come from Howell doing something nuts.
  17. How does Terry not make a play on that? Also EB clearly has no regard for Howell's health. 95 percent of QBs would have been broken by now, physically and mentally.
  18. It's criminal what EB is doing to Sam. Ron needs to put a stop to it. No wonder the locker room hates him.
