  1. Now watch EB risk getting Sam killed so he can keep getting passing yards and EB will look like he is a good OC to blogger boys who don't watch the games.
  2. EB is going to try to pad Sam's stats as much as possible so lazy sportswriters and blogger boys think he should get a HC gig. It may work in a place like Vegas. But Harris won't fall for it. Hopefully it doesn't get Sam killed.
  3. You don't fire anybody if your Harris. You let them finish out the year and then you completely clean house. Hire a GM, then a coach. Change the name. Pretend the last 25 years never happen.
  4. It's on his latest pod. Said a lot of players think Ron has given too much control to EB already. Also, just a general vibe from Keim that the team wasn't banging down the door for EB.
  5. Keim was dropping some not so subtle hints that the locker room doesn't think much of Bienemy and doesn't want him in the mix for HC.
  6. I grew up in Alexandria, but live in Los Angeles and follow both the Rams and Chargers closely. The upside to coaching the Chargers is Herbert, living in Socal (which ain't for everybody for sure), and a media that couldn't be more chill. I think people underestimate how much of a headache the DC media is for coaches. Lots of drama created, lots of click-bait articles. None of that is LA. But that brings me to a big negative to the Chargers job... NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE CHARGERS. They simply should not be in LA. There are zero charger fans. The only reason there are two teams in LA is because Spanos is so cheap and loves that he gets to play in a stadium he didn't pay for. If you coach the Chargers, you will NEVER know what it's like to have a stadium even halfway filled with your own fans. Seriously, the crowds at Sofi make Fed-Ex look like Lambeau. There is no passion, no hunger. In Washington, there still is -- if you win in DC, the fans will come back in droves. I also think the Chargers roster is aging and overrated. I think if you like Howell, and you don't mind the microscope that comes with being the Washington coach, Washington is the better job. Plus there's the cap space issue. And I think Harris will be willing to pay a lot more than Spanos. Add in the cost of living and I don't think it's close. What I paid for my ranch style house would get you a mansion pretty much anywhere in VA.
  7. Haskins looked good under O'Connell. HASKINS.
  8. Difference between getting picked in the top five compared to the fifth round. You get chances and time. Guys like Howell have very little margin for error -- they almost have to wildly impress to overcome their draft position. It's a big reason there haven't been many late round success stories.
  9. He's top 10 to 15 in league right now. And definitely one of the better young QBs. Very very impressed. After today, I think Howell is second in the league in passing yards.
  10. Howell is the real deal. He's going to lead the league in passing yards this season. And he suddenly has stopped taking sacks. Harris must be ecstatic. A stud young QB on a rookie deal is EVERYTHING.
  11. Just an insane penalty. You should be able to challenge stuff like that.
  12. Don't be shocked if the D plays better without Sweat and Young. It happened before. And how could they play worse? Really curious to get an extended look at Toohill, who has four sacks already with not nearly as many reps as Young or Sweat.
  13. The people who have decided Sam isn't the guy obviously don't watch other QBs play outside of highlights. My goodness it is a horror show out there in the NFL. With Sam, you at least have someone to be optimistic about.
  14. We'll see how the rest of the year goes, but having a promising QB on a rookie deal is so attractive to a prospective head coach.
  15. He's shown solid starter potential and is on a rookie deal. You let the new coach work with him/decide. Clearly a lot of fans just watch their own team and highlights of other QBs.
  16. He's basically a rookie being asked to do more than pretty much any QB in the league when it comes to number of drop backs. I'll cut him some slack.
