  1. First off, do you see him doing a complete 180 from the way he has done offense so far? Probably not and he is likely mixing Air Raid concepts with pro concepts, which still means Sam has a base to start from in this hypothetical discussion. The names thrown around were Tannehill and Wilson. The first guy went on the record and poo pooed the idea of mentoring Willis. The second guy is a well known diva. Could be a great mentor but seems unlikely
  2. If Howell can give you solid backup level play, you are saving a few mil each of those two years to use elsewhere.
  3. In that scenario, why wouldn't you just start Sam? He played for Longo for 3 years and really knows the Air Raid offense.
  4. Not at all and Campbell makes sense on a 1 year deal if we go the 3-4 route. Campbell is a guy Allen will stfu and look up to
  5. He won’t be particularly expensive either. Not bad as a depth LB
  6. Another name to throw into the mix is Demario Davis. The Saints are $80M over the cap and will need to go through their annual exercise of restructuring contracts. Of their expensive players, Davis is one of the few they save money on by moving on from. More likely though he just restructures
  7. Yep. Very best he is getting is a 2 year deal. He may get what is on paper a 3 year deal but is realistically a 1-2 year deal for cap purposes
  8. I loved AAA in 2010. He caught bomb after bomb that season. If I remember correctly, that year was also Brandon Banks’s big season as a return man
  9. Best path is Wagner + drafting a guy or two in Day 3 and letting them develop for a year
  10. Quinn and KNJ are the only things that would give us a fighting chance. The more likely option is the Rams who he was just with. They have the cap room too
  11. Wow this is huge. Immediately becomes my #1 LB target. I think he was flirting with the Cowboys a couple years ago so you know the love is there for Quinn too Perfect elder statesman to have and he clearly takes the mantle as the leader of the D from Allen (whose skills as a leader I doubt)
  12. If they aren’t franchising Evans, I fully expect them to franchise Winfield. You are right. Gilmore could make sense. I think a lot of it depends on how they view BSJ. Do they seem him as a building block or as a one year useful piece? My guess is the latter
  13. Didn’t the Vikings agree to an arrangement last season with Hunter that they wouldn’t tag him? Unless Macdonald doesn’t want him back, I doubt Wagner is leaving Seattle. He signed a $7M AAV deal off a very strong year with the Rams. I think both sides agree him leaving for that year in LA was a mistake
  14. The other thing about McKinsey folks is they are great at running analyses and presenting strategy decks but most of them suck at actual implementation and operations because so much of their work is done in ivory towers. I worked directly for a McKinsey partner who was brought in to be the defacto President at one company I was at and I watched his car wreck of a tenure play out over 3 years.
  15. Although there are some tantalizing interior options in FA and Day 2 of the draft, given resource constraints, I am currently thinking Wylie at LG for 2024 and taking a guy in Day 3 who could step in in 2025 to start. Wylie’s net cap hit is $2M with keeping him vs cutting him (as a pre June 1 cut).
  16. Wasn’t it our very own Trent Green who got hurt in 99 before Kurt took over? Kurt was already an older player by then after having been cut in TC and playing in the AFL and NFL Europe
  17. Before anyone suggests Whitehair, the guy is washed. It'd be like signing Norwell and Turner
  18. It's a no brainer. He is not going to be expensive coming off a partially torn ACL. Need to keep our first team All Pro / special teams leader
  19. 2 of the reasons things failed in Carolina: 1) Tepper had a major hand in pulling the staff together and that included keeping holdovers from the prior staff. He would have 1:1s with those holdovers and undermined Reich 2) They got QB wrong and offense was ultimately anemic. Their defense was actually solid last year given the context of the offense. They are keeping Evero around
  20. Yep. Great get. Apparently he is extremely bright. Assuming Brian Johnson gets poached, my guess is Pritchard moves up to PGC and Blough becomes QB coach
  21. The Eagles used position flex on Cam Jurgens. Was a center at Nebraska and has played guard in the NFL so far. He is going to take over for Kelce next year. I think Barton is a Pro Bowler type at either guard or center. He would be a nice get at 36 and is a Day 1 starter who would solidify the interior.
  22. Kyle doesn’t hire all these stud coaches by blocking them when they want other opportunities. The Cowboys blocking coaches from interviewing here will hurt them as they build out their next staff
