  1. Not to take this off the rails but another guy who can bounce back next season is BSJ. He’s always going to be handsy and he doesn’t look back for the ball enough but he impressed me in 22 and did a solid job against a lot of #1 WRs before taking a major step back in 23. He’s going to have a lot to prove this year and he has the size and length DQ looks for in his corners. If it were me, I sign a FA like a Yiadom, draft a developmental guy like Khyree Jackson and have BSJ and Forbes compete for the other starting corner spot
  2. Did Forbes really have bad film though? I haven’t heard anyone say that. Porter was also seen as a man corner with no ball skills. In retrospect, his skillset would’ve been perfect in DQ’s scheme
  3. I think it would be really prescient to try to get Jamin extended now on a sub $10M AAV deal for three years. We already know that his floor is solid weakside LB. I agree too that in DQ’s defense, his numbers could really take off. I would try to extend both Cosmi and Davis now
  4. You can’t franchise tag him. Off ball LB are in the same franchise tag pool as 3-4 EDGEs. The only exception here is if they make him a defacto EDGE. Remember that was going to be his role at Kentucky before injuries to others allowed him to get the starting ILB role
  5. His best game of the season was against the Patriots. He then got thrown out of the game early against Seattle, got hurt and then was up and down the rest of the way. If the scheme is press man here, Forbes is just not a fit. I know that generally, in man, his numbers in college were good but that was a small sample size. I will add that he and Deonte Banks finished with basically the same PFF grade
  6. I wouldn’t do that with DJ. He is a shorter armed LT whose game is driven by his athleticism. Had a down year this past year. He is going to be signing a prove it deal when he is ready to play. I also think he is a guy who signs somewhere midseason when he is healthy
  7. Khyree Jackson is such a Dan Quinn corner. 6-4 with 33 inch arms who is a physical and aggressive player. Definitely a guy to watch in the 3rd
  8. This is why I was surprised they let Leno go. He was no world beater but he is a better player than Jonah Williams, more durable than Smith and Bakhtiari and not an asshole like Trent Brown. I was hoping they would just keep him around for the final year of his deal.
  9. Ask his fans on this board. A bunch of them are probably going off his first round pedigree. If no one else is available, I'd take him on a reasonable 1 year deal just to have somebody who has started a bunch of NFL games at LT and RT. Honestly, the only thing he has over a bunch of the other named options is durability and not being a team cancer
  10. This is the first guy you have suggested I'd be up for going after lol. I'd consider trading a 6th or 7th for him, especially given the forecast that this draft will suck anyway 5th round and onward due to the high degree of underclassmen headed back to school. He is due a $17M base salary and $3M roster bonus (could maybe split that with the Chargers) so it would essentially be a 1 year $20M deal, which is probably a slight overpay for a player of his caliber but something I'd be fine with given there is a year on his deal. Maybe Lynn could sell him on coming here but not sure we are the ideal spot for a receiver to land for a prove it situation so I think we'd have to trade for him. I'm a total no a 30 year old slot receiver when this draft is LOADED with slot receivers. I bet you we could find a slot receiver who could contribute quickly in round 4 or 5
  11. Although he has the tools, he is really raw and I'm not sure he helps next year. I think a guy like Blake Fisher who has his fair share of upside but is more technically ready is a guy who you can grab mid to late 2nd and can start year 1 at RT
  12. No way. Lucas has been a career backup for a reason. One of the best swing tackles but he gets exposed when he has to play a string of games. Need a proven solution at the position who can keep the young QB healthy. I think Bolles is a possibility given Denver’s serious cap issues
