  1. Its obvious he can teach a running QB to make it in the NFL one dimensional gets you only so far. They built the O around running QB's with him. Philly, Kansas,......to name a few. use the good feet in the passing game too. Pass on Roman for me, not best for Howell either. Ravens also traded away Brown may have been there best WR offseason, Why? Is it because they are not featured?
  2. Baltimore has a boat load of good TE's and maybe the best kicker of all time who has saved their asses over and over. OL too, Terry does not make the pro bowl too. Our young WR's will want out, might as well trade them. Balance attack with a coach who is a crafty play caller is needed just do not see it with Roman.
  3. Difference that has to be accounted for is, OL with Pro bowl Center, TE, put them on opposite teams. Numbers never tell the whole story. Taylor would be better in Philly is what common sense tells me. Minshew will take his lickings here.
  4. They are no better then what we finished this year with. Do you really want them blocking for Howell? Roullier never was top 5 and never worth 12.4 million a year. Just like Scarleth another they helped a lot of QB's end there career here average at best pass blockers. He would be my first cut right after Wentz, L.Thomas, C.Samuel. A.Norwell. I would pay the players who have earned it on the Defense first. You could save 45mil before june1 cuts. Will not take much or already on the team to Replace the dead weight of the team. Fixing the OL needs to happen and that means change.
  5. Young, has a whole offseason to get back to year 1 level and above. OR Time in Washington will come to a end. Think he works hard after watching all year from the sidelines.
  6. Have we ever had a DT have 11 sacks in a season? OL and LB for me are the biggest needs, CB TE are down the list for me as far as the draft goes. But we need to keep our own players if possible. If the stud LB is there take him. Sweat,Holcum,Payne, we need to find a way to keep them or just more holes to fill.
  7. It's not hard you cannot trade him for a 2nd rounder, tag him if all else fails. I think the hard decision would be a middle round 1st.
  8. What about Pass attack? Where did he rank? Overall Rank? Points?
  9. Playing in the Big Ten these last several years and against the tier of young NFL star WR's to come from there can only be a bonus for him.
  10. Dalton is a starter or has been most of the year, not coming cheap at 5mil, Brissett is not leaving for 5mil. Taylor 5mil most likely. ? I maybe wrong but you maybe too. Dalton is Wentz jr, has no feet does not fit. Brissett fits better but $ and no better than Taylor if he played here the last 3 years is my opinion. I disagree and Taylor is the better fit with Howell at that price. 5 mil back up is what we need.
  11. I agree Howell will be the QB if he wins the job with design they want to run. and the backs ups need to be at least capable of running that style too. Wentz did not fit or Taylor did not fit. Cannot see Dalton or that type being a fit with Howell if they build around him. Dalton is Wentz with a better line in front of him.
  12. No way would I want Dalton or Brissett they are Backups that do not fit, also they would be 10+ mil/yr guess? to bring here, second that takes away money to keep our own players, third they are very different type QB's than Howell. Howell is going to have to use his feet in the NFL these days and plays should be designed to take care of that, that's why Taylor fits as the back up. New O coach should fit them too.
  13. I love this team plan, Go cheap on QB, build Oline, add All purpose RB, sign your own Players (Payne, Sweat,.....) Keep Taylor on cheap, draft another rd. 3 and down QB on a rookie contract. Add the back that can take it to the house and be a good receiver to move the chains. NFC east teams all have them 2 backs. We have a chance to draft one. Howell needs the build around him. Add a TE that can block and help in Redzone short yardage. Redo OL. Sign the D players go with them and take care of Offense first in draft or what ever FA values you can find .
  14. Reich, attended college at Md. (QB), as a player and could be a fit with Ron being in league for years as a player and a proven coach success. What's not to like? Also, could step in for Ron if he got axed and hold down the fort.
  15. They blitzed Justin from everywhere all game and when one of your 2 star WR's is out and they double the other it's tough. He has had that problem all year Allen missed 8 games and Williams in and out all year. Plus your D sucks and got lucky in the first half. Not to mention Bosa having 3 big penalties during a mental breakdown that cost the game. Blame Bosa and the D. And being out coached the 2nd. half. 27 point lead ,kicker also missed easy FG. But let's blame the QB.
  16. Let's see what we got? Sign a low budget QB or Draft another QB later. Maybe 3rd rd. and down or 2. OL, first with possible trade down if top Tackles are gone. Agree no need to sign a rocket if he has 53% GPS guiding it.
  17. Richardson baller but, can he spin it? Needs to sit a couple years? Not at 16 for me. Trade down and if still there, maybe?
  18. Prefect, hope they do would not be on the top of needs for Wash. as I see it.
  19. OL is not the sexy pick, but it is the right pick. If you want Howell to stand up and have a chance, go there first. The D can get by, Pay the free agents Holcomb, Payne, Kurl. add a lB, CB later. CB, TE, not at 16 OL,QB first. at 16 or trade down get more picks if there is no value. This offseason should be about keeping the QB upright. and not like the past.
  20. I think Herbert hurts the most, he seems to make the whole better team better, had both of his top wr's out a lot this year but kept it together.
  21. I always thought. Roullier was overrated even the 2 previous years on pass blocking, jail break up the middle was common. Hope Paul is the man at LG. Center and RT seem to be top spots for upgrade. Leno, was he responsible to block the end/ LB against the Giants at the Goal line both games? or? The first game the announcer said they are not going to block, he spotted it right away, then boom right in the back of TH and you do it again the next Giants game and fumble TD. Maybe the reason Turner got canned.
  22. Good for them, Bad for Wash. He fits better here is my opinion. With our fast, quick WR's, Add a all-purpose Back to the mix, Howell and Taylor mobile QB's retool OL. Good D. Draft another mobile QB or 2. Checks a lot of boxes here is what I think.
  23. Zack Harrison, with our late 3rd? If we cannot sign Sweat he seems like a good fit to me if there? A little faster about the same size, just pops out as someone with a nonstop motor. May be a player that never lived up to the 5 star rating numbers wise but he reminds me of Sweat. It's a deep draft for ends and that pushes him down but a lot of them would not fit our D or would be better in a 3/4 LB spot. He has the 270lbs size we need. Opinions?
  24. Payne was first alternate and pretty sure Donald is not playing unless he is healthy now. So, he will play hopefully and be pro bowl player.
