  1. nobody is dumb enough to do it except the skins...and since they own the pick hopefully that keeps them from screwing it up... stop talking about it...see the above post!
  2. This thread needs to knock on some wood! Dont jinx this pick!
  3. Dallas has the easiest schedule it's not even close. Totally obvious that they're getting favored.

  5. Usually I don't have issues with malware because I use a Mac. Some streams won't work if you're running AD Blocker. I just close any and all pop-ups, then roll the stream and have never had any issues with malware. I might be able to post an ACE STREAM link if one gets posted. Better than that, go here and find all the stream sources yourself!
  6. Makes more sense to use Harmon on Digs with his size, ala Dez Bryant in his prime. Definitely better to have Terry as an X or Z because he runs great routes and can fly!
  7. I think that topic has been pushed around in multiple other threads about starting QB and Haskins. I think the consensus was that it's best to let them play it out. In todays NFL there's no direct positive or negative one side view. It's the best player situation here. If Case is ahead of Haskins, then Case should start. The difference is when Case slumps, then Haskins will get the gig and it won't be changed after that. You don't put a rookie in with the risk of losing anything. It's all experience and you live or die with it.
  8. The character issues came into play when he went to Michigan State and got kicked off the team for smoking weed and stealing a bike. When he got to Mississippi State. Had a good coach straighten him out and made a couple good friends on the D-lines that focused on getting drafted. He's fine and the character issues were awhile ago. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2832503-whats-the-story-with-montez-sweat
  9. I view the ILB'ers as a true competition in training camp. I don't think there's anyone getting anointed the starter at this point. The ILB'er play last year was a major issue. Brown just didn't play consistently and Foster was way too slow. I'd imagine that when they cut Brown, they told Mason that he has to play faster to remain, so he lost 15 lbs in the off-season. Then the addition of Re.Foster brings the group into full competition. I have my own opinion on what I've seen Re.Foster do and not do on the limited NFL tape. He could benefit from learning a few things about ILB'er from London Fletcher. This duo has a history of playing well behind the likes of Allen and Payne. It's clear that the idea was to get this middle lineup on the field at the same time. Doesn't mean that it has to happen this year, because they all might not be at the best players on the roster at their positions, at the same time right now... However, we could expect to at least see them in packages and progressing towards that grouping at a minimum. With all the question marks going into 2019 it appears like the Skins are working towards being a 2020 contender.
  10. Mason lost a lot of weight in the offseason to get faster. He's at 235 but said he might play at 240. Go to minute 12:00
  11. That was 2 weeks ago. They're the same size. Shaun is faster, Mason is slow.
  12. He's going to get better. Skins have been setting this defense up for as a focal point. The big picture is coming into focus. I just don't see Gruden in it. O'Connell will get the benefit next year as the HC.
  13. You know Shaun is probably the smartest guy on that defense and was the captain LB'er next to Re.Foster when they played together. You might have your view backwards.
  14. I see a veteran trade for a 2nd just as likely. Jordan Reed comes to mind.
  15. Medically speaking that's not the same thing as was being reported though. They reported 'degenerative heart', which is 100% BS. They've not yet isolated that gene to make that distinction so it's likely a draft leak. The only reality is that prospects had to submit to a chest xray and with that alone they'd have some radiologist who measured his heat from an xray. Xrays are not diagnostic capable of making that diagnosis. Trust me, I know.
  16. Ok, look...first of all there's no way for them to know if it's a degenerative disease. We don't have that technology yet, so that's complete BS. second, cardiomegaly or an enlarged heart happens to a lot of big people. Think about it...if you show overgrown size on the exterior then you'll likely have overgrown proportions in the interior. Either he has simply a larger then normal heart by the default standards or he just has a bigger heart then the normal values. Nothing alarming at all here until you track this. Example, you'd do an MRI and document the measurements in year 1. Year 2 you do the same...same for year 3. Now, take those measurements and compare. A consideration is where the patient is still 'growing', then they have to compare if he's growing at an unusual rate. Danger doesn't come into play until the heart outgrows the cavity that it sits in. Here, you would get a heart squeeze if this were the case, when it is under load. Results is CHF or congestive heart failure. CHF manifests in shortness of breath and a backup of fluid into the lungs. Very unusual and diagnosed easily with listening to the lungs. There are rare cases when a true degenerative disease directly affects the heart and the heart just grows out of control. Sweat doesn't seem to have that or he'd not be running a 4.4 in the 40. He probably does have some cardiomegaly, but if you measured the hearts of the entire NFL, you'd find that this is not unusual. Cheers!
  17. This defense better understand there's no excuse for not being top 10. Zero. That front 7 is as talented as it gets.
  18. Still don't know why we did that. So who do we cut now? Perine? Do we put Thompson on IR when we're in the playoff race? Seems like such poor timing to bring back a RB. It's possible that Thompson doesn't make it back. You've got to cover the roster spots for RB's. If you get a couple of RB's dinged up, you can't trade for one at this point. This is a logical move for security at the position. I don't think it's a vote towards Marshall's future with the Skins but more of about covering the bases. Perine knows the offense and isn't going to go anywhere until after the season is over. Perine has the ability to carry the ball 15 times a game and give you a resemblance of a running game. When he doesn't play teams and doesn't have the talent to be your primary RB, then he's a security blanket as that happens inside a season. It will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the year as AP obviously brings a dimension to the offense and depending on how Guice recovers and develops, they're likely resigning AP. You'll have Thompson and Bibbs, AP and Guice ideally and without using any draft picks. Bonus!
  19. I like Harris' pass catching ability but he's behind Doctson for a reason. Harris hits the ground to fast and hasn't developed any YAC ability. Doctson is progressing as he's playing more aggressively as of late and getting some YAC. This might be a situation where Harris learns faster from Doctson's progress, hopefully. Both these young WR's need to play with more aggression and confidence. The baby steps being made need to make a distinct move to the upside. Crowder hasn't been able to stay on the field for years now. He's not going to get a significant FA contract. Typically your first team is the one that drafted you and loves your potential the most. As a FA, they evaluate your history and set a value on it. Who's going to pay a WR who plays on average half the season?! It's not going to cost much to keep Crowder in the slot. If he leaves then you're not losing anything when he's only on the field half the time.
  20. I don't know Bro...Sometimes there's haunting teams of your past that you just can't shake off! Until proven otherwise I'm putting the Hex on McVay vs the Skins!
  21. I see that as a gamble that isn't worth taking since Dez Bryant has more downside then upside. Nobody wants Dez Bryant. If you look at the actual breakdown of his play falling off the last couple of years, you see that he can't get separation (which he needs to be affective), drops balls, doesn't run the full route tree at the same speed. Multiple posts on why nobody wants Bryant. He doesn't fix anything. Adding the Twitter baby doesn't do anything in the instance of Doctson's issues. Skins should have signed Jordy Nelson with Paul Richardson. Galette was done awhile ago. Skins took a cheap flyer on him and ultimately he didn't produce. He wanted to get one more contract to retire and failed. Definitely not any solution to why the Skins outside rushers aren't getting sacks. One of the main reasons the Skins are better in run defense is because they aren't selling out the ends for sacks. You can distinctly see it on the replays. Smith and Kerrigan are obviously being asked to defend the run before the sack. On many replays you have example after example of Smith and Kerrigan going after the running back on RPO's. That's the tell...they're assignments are stop the run game first. It's working.
  22. I don't think you get any real value from adding WR's mid season. That's a position where it's better to use what you started the year with in order to take steps and adding guys into that mix are fillers at best. Skins have weapons in the TE's and some younger guys that can go up and make plays if they're given enough opportunities. Just obvious to me that the WR's aren't getting the opportunities. Smith's not throwing the 50/50 ball. Doctson isn't getting separation, but think about it, he never has. Smith throws Doctson's way and it's way out of bounds instead of a 50/50 ball. If Crowder and Richardson are out this week, then go with the TE's and a philosophy that the team will be going with Doctson and Mo in 1-on-1 matchups deep. I don't have any problem with TE's and AD game plan, but you've gotta take shots. Really need to see a true 50/50 ball opportunity. Let them go up and fight for the ball on deep routes. I'd say on the other side of the 50, that 20+ yard 50/50 ball is as good as a punt.
