Don't like Michael Smith that much (latest doctor), but really liked David Tenant (sp) Doctor right before him. Mind you, I am probably a season or two behind so Smith and the writers may have gotten a hang of what they wanted to do with him better.

It's sick and kinda crazy. If you are close enough to splash gas on it and then close enough to ignite it... well, then you aren't all that afraid of the snake are you? Leave it be.

Can a team with the Wizards' record have meaningless games? That is, unless they are all meaningless games.

I still wonder how much the injury has or even is setting him back. Are we seeing the real Wall out there and has his progress been limited by these injuries.

Winning is always better. Just not sure with them in such a deep hole if climbing to dreadful is better than being abysmal. This team probably still needs at least one more high lottery pick and to get it right.

What I wonder is if we are one of the teams where players actually hope to get traded away.

To be fair, I'm not sure how much work he could have done to improve this offseason given the rehab and injury. He could have done a lot of study, but as far as training, practice, and whatnot to improve on his deficiencies it's hard to do that if you can't run. (Note: Not sure when he first got injured, but he seemed to have a very long recovery)

If there is no concensus number one pick there is a very good chance that the Wizards might pick first.

I don't think this team has the coaches to teach or develop a player. Ask yourself who has grown and really shown. Who's better? To me, that's a bigger indictment than the X's and O's. I thinkwe have players willing to work, that we we've gotten rid of a lot of the knuckleheads, but I don't see growth at least not growth beyond what a player learns by simple on the court experience. For that reason, unless we are going to go with a new staff a really raw, high potential guy like Vesely is all but useless on this roster... not just today, but going forward.

In the NBA, do players get fined for flops like that? It's one thing to exagerate a hit... it's another to be a Hollywood stuntman?

What a difference a player can make? This might seem silly, but I wonder if the success of the other first rounders or DC rookie phenoms lit a fire under Wall because he has been good before, but the winning even with him as been pretty scarce.

Okay, Captain Kirk was pretty good in relief of RGIII, but I really don't see the Redskins trading him to the Wiz or even loaning him to them during the offseason. You guys are going really far afield...

Geez, RGIII shows up at a Wizards game and Washington beats two national champs in two days. Is there anything this rookie can't accomplish?

Has any team ever gotten less bang for the buck than the Washington Wizards with their 2 No. 1 draft picks. Kwambe Brown clearly failed the team and John Wall while not a bust on the court in three seasons has failed to lead the team past the lottery.

I think DC is a football town first and a college basketball town second. There's a lot of love for the Hoyas or Maryland out there... and even George Mason ever since their Cinderella season. I think this area has adopted all of those teams to a degree. We can even root for AU and GW. The Wizards are a team we want to like, but the NBA has never really, really been embraced in my lifetime the way football or college bball has.

I don't think they had much choice. Combine the injuries to a retread coach that failed miserably his last time at the helm with a talent poor team to begin with and you have a recipe for suck. Wizards never really stood a chance this year.

I think Leonsis is more of a hockey guy who bought the Wizards because A) it was expected, he could, and C) he thought an NBA team would be a cash cow to fund everything else he enjoys. His heart never seemed into it the way it was the Caps.

Wonder if Witman will be fired winless. He seems out of ideas and without the ability to inspire. If nine games in, players are pretty openly throwing in the towel... that's about as bad as you can get.

Just think the plan last season was to renew Grunfield AND to promote Whitman to a permanent HC position. The Wizards are run by pre-Dorothy scarecrows.

Crazy how many current and ex-Wizards are on that amnesty list. Arenas, Haywood, and now, maybe Blatche. That could be ten percent or more of all players that got amnestied were recent Wizards.

Was thinking about how the Nats at the midpoint of this season have tallied about the same number of wins as the Wizards in their last two seasons combined.

I kinda wanted TRob, but I guess the trade, plus having Booker, Vesely, and Singleton made that impossible. The idea of getting the best shooter in the draft is appealing.
