Dorial Green Beckham would you take him in supplemental draft this year?

All signs point to his days are numbered in Missouri after the suspension. So if he opts to leave early and apply for supplemental draft would you give up a third round pick for him? This reminds me a lot like the josh Gordon pick a few years back. They are very similar receivers. Beckham is a monster and if you see his game tape against auburn in sec title game you will be amazed. I know he has a lot of off the field issues, but he would be the answer for our big physical receiver we have been looking for. If this was discussed somewhere else already I am sorry couldn't find anything on this.

Not to sound mean or arrogant, but this could have and should have gone into the FA or the Draft data threads. This is not the type of thing that gets it's own thread FWIW, clogs the board and that makes the MODs angry. You don't want to anger the Mods do you? I suggest taking a look around and seeing what constitutes a worthy thread idea before posting on.

Nope. Let me remind you the once promising Ohio State RB Maurice Clarett, a total waste of pick by Denver. They don't worth the risk.

On snap?  He was a supplemental pick?  Like Kosar, Cris Carter, Josh Gordon... and friends?

Or a guy who was suspended in college... like (insert name here)?

No, Clarett went in the regular draft.

I know.  He was a 3rd rounder.

You missed the total coverage ownage on that one.

You've been off the past couple of days, brother. Don't let Perry Mason get to you.  Those Sooners... still flying high about beating Alabama in that "bowl game".

I think posters acting like mods clog the board (may not make mods angry though).

For 4 years now, I've been talking to D&S and other draft gurus on the board about how impressed I was with DGB because he's from my hometown of Springfield MO and I've been watching him since he was a sophomore in high school....

...but I'm now to a point that I pray he never ends up in the B&G. Not only is he not a very intelligent player, he's on a destructive path with no signs of turning it around. It's sad, really. Especially when you consider the back story of everything he has had to overcome along with his brother as well.

Here's an article with more info leaking out I saw today. http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2014/dorial-green-beckham-case/

Or, you know, they are doing the posters a favor by pointing out their mistakes before they get in trouble for them, while simultaneously helping out the mods.

The Mods encourage self-policing so the board is not out of control and all time consuming for them. I'll take the Mods words for it, no apologies nonniey. This is just another one of those throw up a name threads Jumbo just doesn't adore.

And honestly you have been around long enough to know what the Mods are okay with and what they are not. This thread won't draw praise so I think I am missing you're intent.

Everyone on here has opinions and the ego compulsions to share them :P, but for the "official" record, swfl was correct in what he said, and it is appreciated by staff. Since well before my arrival, ES staff has always asked knowledgeable members to do just as swfl did.

"The Swarm"---members who knew the rules and helped others (especially "noobs") be informed on following them---was an ES tradition. Some here remember that, but ironically as our population blew up and the board staff shrunk in presence it's become less common, though we still ask for it routinely in threads.

What "we don't like" is posts like yours---dissing people who are helping sometimes "makes us mad."

This kind of help is much different from  "being wannabe mods" and it's typical to read opinions that often reflect some ignorance in distinguishing this difference per the board.

So don't "make us mad" again.   :)

The actual "problem" type of "wannabe mods" are very rare on ES.

And it's not about "what Jumbo adores." I wish. It's simply following the rules and guidelines as a staff, best as we can, as ever.

So this is only to inform folks.

Thanks.  :)
