  1. Guy or girl? Catherine Raiche is the Asst GM and VP of Football Ops for the Browns. She was VP of Football Ops under Roseman in Philly before going to the Browns. She fits what you're describing and will probably be the 1st female GM in the NFL.
  2. I'd been waiting on him to drop for a while. Real good college player. Not sure if teams will be turned away by his size or not.
  3. I'm here! With pick #229 the Browns select Dee Winters, LB - TCU. Undersized but has good sideline to sideline speed and is a violent hitter. Sorry everyone, fell asleep last night waiting and didn't think it would move this quick this morning. And I'll drink again for being the first person skipped...
  4. Just to be clear Colts pick was 221, right?
  5. You can have him for you 1st next year 😃
  6. With pick #190 the Cleveland Browns select Cameron Mitchell, CB - Northwestern. Added depth at corner and brings special teams value as well. Mitchell can be an outstanding gunner.
  7. With pick #142 the Cleveland Browns select Bryce Ford-Wheaton, WR - West Virginia. Prototypical size and speed you're looking for in a WR. Adding speed to the WR room was high on the list of needs for the Browns. Some refer to Bryce as discount DK Metcalf but I'll take that in round 5.
  8. With pick #140 the Cleveland Browns select Keaton Mitchell, RB - ECU. Browns lost Karen Hunt and D'Ernest Johnson in the off-season and can use a pass catching speedster to join Chubb and Jerome Ford.
  9. Man...Reed, Spears and Hodges-Tomlinson were guys I all liked at this pick. With pick #126 the Cleveland Browns select Chandler Zavala, OG - NC State. Browns can't pay Teller and Bitonio for much longer. Bill needs to get to work developing more OGs. Zavala is a good scheme fit and has all the the tools to develop into a starter. @Going Commando is on the clock
  10. With pick #111 the Cleveland Browns select Bry.....Zach Harrison, EDGE - OSU. Well I thought I got a steal of an OL but nope, back to the defense. Harrison was a former 5-Star that didn't reach Bosa/Young level but is still very talented. Worth a swing here in the 4th on talent alone.
  11. With pick #98 the Cleveland Browns select Sydney Brown, S - Illinois. Browns still need a 3rd safety as well as Grant Delpit is in a contract year. Brown can grow into a starter in year.
  12. Pretty sure Hall was already picked
  13. Andrew Berry and the Browns have entered the draft... With pick #74 the Cleveland Browns select Keenau Benton, DT - Wisconsin. Browns were horrible against the run last season and after adding Tomlinson in free agency still need another big body in the middle. Keenau can stuff the run and has enough pass rush upside for Jim Schwartz to work with.
  14. Saw Scream 6 today. If you like the Scream franchise then you'll like this one as well. Lots of tense scenes although thought it unraveled some at the end. I'll give it a B. Few issues though
  15. I'm sure Ron genuinely likes Howell, and I'm cool giving Howell a shot since there's an ownership change coming and why not try it, but after listening to him sell Wentz last off-season I kinda laugh. He comes across as a used car salesman. What was it last year? Something about using Gibbs' QB evaluation method and that pointed to Wentz being the long-term answer? It was bizarre so I have to take Ron and his enthusiasm with a grain of salt. I think it's more them looking at what the Eagles have done twice now with QBs on rookie deals and thinking why can't we do that? Howell seems capable so let's give it a shot and if we can make the playoffs with him, or even fall short with a winning record, we have something to sell to new ownership.
  16. I think that's only for fully guaranteed money in future years of the contract. Franchise tag is 1 year deal.
  17. If he leaves KC to take a lateral OC position I believe it's to escape the shadow of Reid and Mahomes. That said I think the Ravens job would be more enticing with or without Lamar.
  18. Doesn't matter, if Mahomes or Allen were to get traded first thing they'd ask for is a new contract. They all do. So what if the Chiefs signed him until 2031, we aren't the Chiefs. It's a new relationship and a new owner would have to show his love. That's how much leverage QBs are getting.
  19. The other thing with Carr's contract is Feb 15th, if he's not released before then, his $32M salary in '23 becomes fully guaranteed and 7.5M of his '24 salary becomes guaranteed. Not sure if that will make trading him more difficult or not. Carr might want his release thinking he could get more guaranteed in a new free agent contract.
  20. I listened to the podcast and heard Keim say this. He also mentioned the agent's client loved Robinson. Another point Keim made was there are 32 OC jobs in the NFL but not all get to call plays, so the fact that the new OC would get play calling responsibility makes it a more attractive job then some would think. My take on Ron saying we're going to be run heavy tells me they're not chasing any big name QB this off-season. It's going to be Howell and veteran battling it out in camp. If it's a veteran not currently on the team, it'll be someone like Jacoby Brisett.
  21. Howell will be the 65th different NFL starting QB this season, a new record in a non-strike year. I'm excited to watch this historic event on Sunday.
  22. Ugh...Ron trying to pull a Doug Pederson? Just name Howell the starter and give him the first team reps and see how he does.
