  1. More like his attorneys are trying to make the jury doubt her truthfulness--and thus not take her at her word on anything--more so than reach the conclusion that she made the whole thing up.
  2. More: Trump's lawyer Necheles: You've been in over 200 sex films? Stormy Daniels: Including comps. Necheles: What? Daniels: Compilations. Necheles: So you have experience in making up fake stories about sex? Daniels: The sex is real. That's why it's not a B movie. Necheles: Now you have a story about having sex with President Trump, right? Stormy Daniels: If I was making it up it would have been a lot better. Necheles: You make money working in the sex clubs- Daniels: I work in strip clubs, big difference. Hopefully the jury heard far more than what little I posted up there lol...
  3. This part lol... Trump's lawyer Necheles: At the viewing parties, you are treated like a hero? They say, you are saving America? Stormy Daniels: That's in strip clubs. The viewing parties are polarizing. Necheles: You said you'll be instrumental in putting President Trump in jail? Stormy Daniels: Show me where I said instrumental. Necheles: Here's your tweet, "Making me the best person to flush the orange turd down." Daniels: It doesn't say Trump, just orange turd. If you want to interpret it that way...
  4. Full text: 1. One presidential candidate is a former heroin user with brain worms pushing wild conspiracy theories, another candidate is on criminal trial in diapers trying to stay out of jail, while President Biden just gets the job done - yesterday breaking ground on a $3 billion AI facility. The choice should be crystal clear going into November. 2. If Trump makes it back to the White House, he will have no guardrails this time. Project 2025, a MAGA-friendly, dark-money funded operation to overhaul the government within the first 180 days of a second Trump term, should scare the hell out of any democracy-loving American. The project is a concrete plan that will roll back your rights based on far right extremism and put the government in your life. 3. New polls show Biden is gaining momentum as engaged voters are being turned off by Trump and his extreme policies that will roll back individual rights and make America less safe. In the ABC News poll from this weekend, Biden is leading by 4 with likely voters, while an NPR poll from last week has Biden up 5. While the election is - and will remain - tight, voters are seeing the success and sanity of the Biden Administration.
  5. This Hertz?...No way. I don't believe it. Hertz will pay $168 million to customers it falsely accused of stealing its cars https://www.npr.org/2022/12/06/1140998674/hertz-false-accusation-stealing-cars-settlement For years, the rental car company Hertz falsely accused hundreds of innocent customers of stealing its vehicles — accusations that, for some customers, resulted in arrests, felony charges and jail time. Now, the company will pay $168 million to settle those claims, Hertz announced Monday. In total, the settlement will cover 364 people falsely accused of car theft. In a statement, the company said the number represents "more than 95%" of such claims. [...]One Hertz customer was driving her rental car in Chicago when she got a flat tire, and she called Hertz to have the car towed, court records state. Months later, she was pulled over for wearing a seatbelt incorrectly when police informed her she had a warrant for her arrest; she was jailed for more than 30 days, she said in a lawsuit. Another customer in Florida extended her Hertz rental four times — but the car was reported stolen before the end of the extension period in spite of text message communications with a Hertz employee confirming her plans to return it, court records show. She was jailed for 37 days, separated from her two children and missing her nursing school graduation, the suit said. And a Mississippi man spent more than 6 months in jail after Hertz reported his rental car stolen; he had returned it and paid in full, but the company had failed to inform prosecutors, he said in his suit. He missed a hearing date and was incarcerated for months, the suit states.
  6. If assigning "blame"... - Blame Biden for selecting Garland as his AG. He already knew that whoever he picked would have going after Trump as #1 on his to-do list...and Garland has a judge's temperment, not a prosecutor's aggressive mindset. - Blame the Supreme Court for slow-walking the decision on total presidential immunity, which causes his J6 trial to be pushed back most likely past election day (that is, if they don't further **** things up and declare presidents do indeed have total immunity for all acts during their terms no matter what). - Blame McConnell for blocking the Obama administration from picking a SC justice--which would have been Garland--in an election year, yet allowing Trump to pick a SC justice in the exact same scenario in order to further stack the bench. That right there would have lead to a more even 5-4 split, removed Garland as a possible AG under Biden, and given us a more aggressive AG to handle the J6 and documents cases. - Blame Republican senators for not voting to convict Trump after his impeachment. Had they done so, nobody would be freaking out about the length of time it takes to prosecute the turd. - Blame Republican voters who no longer give one single flying **** about this country in any way, and only care about their side winning. - Blame Democratic voters who--bizarrely--think Biden's age is a billion times worse than all the vile **** Trump has done and is now promising he will do if elected again...seriously, this race shouldn't in any way be close. I'm in no way very knowledgeable on legal matters or procedures, but my rule of thumb (or one of them) is if your priority is to get a case to trial asap, the more likely it is you'll lose that case. We're supposed to have safeguards in place to guarantee someone who has done all the **** Trump has done never makes it back into office, but damn if every single safeguard so far has failed us. If all the others fail we still have the huge one, which is using our voting power to make sure he's not elected.
  7. I honestly have no idea what's going on here lol...or how this even happened.
  8. Considering that with all the Botox and plastic surgery she'd be lucky to be able to raise an eyebrow, I'd say this is her losing it...
  9. NEW: Trump has now moved for a mistrial. Todd Blanche: We move for a mistrial based on the testimony this morning, the guardrails were thrown aside, that testimony was so unduly prejudicial to Trump and the charges in this case and the testimony about the incident in 2006 is way different from the stories she was pedaling in 2016, the only reason this evidence …testimony about being blacked out, not wearing a condom, the spacing in the room, the power dynamic, all of this has nothing to do with this case and is extraordinarily prejudicial and the only reason they asked aside from embarrassment is to inflame the jury, there was testimony about a second alleged sexual advance sometime later, totally irrelevant to this case, she testified that there was communications with Trump afterwards and that something bad was going to happen, and she kept saying that she made sure to meet him in a public place and this was said repeatedly. BLANCHE: “There’s no way to unring the bell in our view.” Prosecutor: basically said that everything Daniels said establishes her credibility after having it attacked by the defense. Judge: basically said while there were some things that might have been better left unsaid, they are nowhere near the point of calling for a mistrial and objections could have been raised along the way that weren't. Agrees to strike some statements by Daniels.
