bobzmuda
The shots downfield haven't been too encouraging as all the WR's seem to fall down.
goldenster95
Running Portis is one of the safest plays around.
Cdowwe
Its hurting to watch playcalling like this.
bobzmuda
I don't understand why Gibbs refuses to run Portis from a spread or 3 split-wr formation. It seems he favors 7-8 guys in-line for running. Portis needs space to pick a hole, not an extra lineman to clog things up.
Art
We are playing the EXACT same way they are. The difference is they are in the second year of the offense and we're not. We can't continue 12-play drives.
Mr. S
I dunno, I dont understand any of this game, oh well.
Phat Hog
Disturbing, isn’t it.
Skeletor The Invincible
I agree Gibbs is playing conservatively. While I don't think he's calling the best games, he's the man. Portis was injured. We still aren't using him right. Our running game needs to be re-evaluated in the offseason. Scheme, players, etc. Everything. SlinginSammy HOF '63
I thought Betts did fine. We couldn't move the ball until Betts came in.
mookie0720
We did not throw a single ball downfield......not one.
Skeletor The Invincible
I agree. Betts runs Gibbs' system far better than does Portis. Either we need to redefine our system or .... Yeah.
Renegade7
Portis was hurt in the game, and when in he didn't do jack. Infact, the offense pretty much did nothing all day. Deep shots? We couldn't do anything.
atloldskin
Coles over the middle slant was downfield. That is the only one I can recall.

sydshobob
I'm sure Gibbs is going to say that they tried some deep routes and they were covered or the protection broke down. There were plenty of times Ramsey was holding it looking for someone that never got open and eventually got pressure/sacked. The long passing game is missing because of execution, not intent - IMO.
