Anyone have a link with rumors of Sam’s release? That would be a pleasant surprise, possibly explain the eerie calmness the front-office has had regarding the defensive line. Course the Skin’s wouldn’t of had a secret deal done before it was legal too, right? ;)

Not sure he would fit cap-wise, I think this is a dud, but I can hope, ehh?

Well, the places he goes do tend to have great years. Baltimore for their Super Bowl win, Oakland for their SB Berth, and he was part of a great tandem last year that helped Buffalo have a top-tier defense.

Itd be awesome to get him for 2-3 years, thats prolly all he has left in him. However, I question his attitude, I remember we may have gotten him a few years back, but he was asking for too much money from every team with interest. Hopefully now hes a bit calmer and maybe wants to play for his old coach.

THE BEST POSSIBLE person to determine if this guy has anything "left in the tank" (note sports cliche) or has an attitude problem, just happens to be our D-Coord.

Having said that, if he comes here, it'll be a great thing, if he doesn't, it'll be a great thing because the exact right guy is on our staff and in position to know what his value is and how to properly employ him.

BOTTOMLINE: It's all good!

Nothing like a wide body in the middle. I think Adams would ask for too much, but the only way to find out is approach him with an offer. Better to have him at least until a move is made next year in the draft.

That's the truth.

Actually, I think I've been in favor of signing him the last four offseasons!!

May as well sign a big body in there. Even if the team cannot generate much of a pass rush from the D-line it might as well have the ability to completely stop the run. A guy like Sam Adams will give Lavar and Washington some extra room.

A lard ass DT. I like it

He said that, BUT he also said, unless someone unexpected gets released.
