I wonder if Doug Pederson is pulling a Coach Tony D'Amato move? Maybe the Hurts draft was a ownership move (?) It happens on other teams contrary to popular narrative. Maybe Doug is leaving and taking his QB (Willie Beamen-Wentz) with him.

So which would you like best?

1. Winning the division, only to lose to TB in the first round and end up with next year's division winning schedule and a lower draft status

2. Lose the division and allow the Gints to play and lose next week and get the more difficult schedule next year

3. **** both 1 and 2, win next week and keep going (as Chase would say) this season and be where your feet are (as Ron would say)

Make picks like Sweat, McLaurin, Gibson, and Curl and you dont need the higher draft status.

The point of the NFL is to win, and the only reason anyone cares about high draft picks is it helps you win when you are bad.  The point of those draft picks is to help you make the playoffs.  Not wanting to make the playoffs for the sake of a draft pick is like not wanting to drink your beer because then it would be gone.  The beer exists so you can drink it, the picks exist so you can playoff, not the other way around.

The schedule argument is a terrible one. Its literally a difference of two games. And who knows how things will play out next year, teams that suck one year are good the next year and vice versa all the time. I mean we had a "last place schedule" this year and still lost to the other last place teams in the Lions and Panthers.

Coach D'Amato is out of Philly. Wentz is probably going to follow him unless Hurts is the real Willie Beaman.  Any given Sunday. The real version
