Da_Truth
Peter King said he thinks Bill will come to the Redskins and be our OC. It would seem good; however, I just don't see Spurrier, as selfish as he is, giving up that duty. Plus what reason would they have to get rid of Hue? Guest SkinsHokie Fan
Why would Callahan end up here? Any previous Spurrier/Callahan connection or is this just Peter King bs'ng as usual
Art
Uh, can anyone tell me how this even remotely fits for us? We've been built as a spread 'em out, run 'em deep team. We are going to add a WCO coach to the mix? I don't believe that'll happen.
Da_Truth
Im pretty sure its just all Peter King talking. Im just hoping for another coach.
Duke
Oh please, no boring WCO here!!!
The Sisko
Ditto that Art. However, it does seem that SOS is in the process of relegating the FNG to the scrap heap so who knows. I hope this isn't true though because I hate the WCO.

TD_washingtonredskins
Yusuf, I was thinking the same thing. Not that I believe anything the King writes, but one reason could be that SOS is trying to add a dimension to his offense that looks for quick-hitting plays more often. It would be a FnG/WCO hybrid....who knows.
codeorama
The only thing I believe from Peter King is when he writes about the food he eats... That's usually true, except he probably eats more than what he reports.
aREDSKIN
Maybe it's me but at $5 million a year what is Spurrier doing here if he dosen't run the O. If I were Snyder I'd say WTF why did I bring you (Spurrier) here.

OURYEAR#56
All I know is Spurrier needs to become a HEAD COACH. Leve the play calling to somebody else coach, damn.
TD_washingtonredskins
OY, I would like to see this too. Not that I think he can't call plays, but I think when he's running the offense, he gets very narrow-minded. We need him to be looking over everything and let someone else call the game. They are still his plays, just someone else is deciding which one to run....
Skeletor The Invincible
Spurrier wouldn't know what to do with himself if he wasn't calling the plays. He'd sit on the sideline and make sure everyones shirt was tucked in or something. That is what he does, call plays, he doesn't know what the defense does and I don't think he cares. Anyway, I like Hue Jackson, I think he has a possiblity of becoming the head coach here when Spurrier leaves if he is groomed correctly.
Phat Hog
Nope.. the OBC will never give up those reins to a FT OC. You heard him, if he’s not calling the plays he doesn’t feel like he has anything to do…

[/b] Amen brother, he strikes me as a leader, a motivator, and no-nonsense. Spurrier is a an aw-shucks, depressing, and off in lala land kind of coach. Redskins4Life
I thought that Calahan was more of an offensive line coach anyway ... and not really the offensive coordinator for the Raiders? Was that a misperception on my part?
SoCalRaider
That's true in part. His roots are as an offensive line coach, but he was Gruden's offensive coordinator during his last few years in Oakland...
jimster
ususally the opposite happens of whatever anyone fron SI says - that means we'll hire a new D coordinator
