Jordan Reed is seeing a specialist in Charlotte about his toe. Still no timetable for return.

Gruden: JReed will remain day-to-day. Crowder's hamstring could be a week or a few days-hopefully back Thurs or Frid. Harris same #Redskins

Gruden on if he's tired of any questions: "C'mon you know what it is... a contract situation??" (smiled but likely not joking lol) #Redskins

ordan Reed: Even though he saw specialist today, he looked really sharp in a few routes & workouts I saw Monday. Not a huge concern now.

Redskins receiver Jamison Crowder is going through conditioning drills with the other sidelined players. Crowder remains out with a hamstring injury.

Jordan Reed's visit to noted foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte was a planned one and does not indicate a setback. Reed remains day to day with a sprained big toe.

The Redskins hired Harrison Ritcher, Brent Caprip, Chuck Cool and Paul Skansi to their scouting department, the team announced. They promoted Cole Spencer to be their college scout in the Southeast and named Roger Terry as their Midlands area scout. Spencer's brother, Evan, spent training camp with the Redskins in 2015.

Rookie center Chase Roullier is working with the starters. It's uncertain why Spencer Long isn't working.

Rookie report: Center Chase Roullier filled in for starter Spencer Long, who was out with an illness. Roullier, a sixth-round pick, didn't look out of place at all. His base has always looked solid, even during the spring practices. On one of his first reps, he did a nice job vs. nose tackle Phil Taylor. Then, during a one-on-one drill, Taylor got into Roullier, but the rookie recovered and got his hands back underneath to hold him off. He's shown potential.

Play of the day: Receiver Terrelle Pryor can help the Redskins all over, but especially in the red zone. Tuesday, he showed just how tough he can be to cover in the end zone. During a full-team drill in the red zone, Pryor made a one-handed catch over corner Dashaun Phillips for a touchdown. Quarterback Colt McCoy stepped back, and lofted a pass to the corner. As the crowd cheered, Pryor spun the ball on the ground then flashed a muscle pose while smiling.

Overheard at camp: "Let's hope he gets that out of his system." One fan said that after quarterback Kirk Cousins threw an interception in the red zone, a forced pass on the move that safety Deshazor Everett picked. In fairness to Cousins, he's thrown just 23 combined picks the last two seasons and, in that same time, only two were in the red zone. But he has been intercepted a few times in camp.
