Samaje Perine had a nice run for a long gain in today's practice which has been very physical. #Redskins

For all you Sudfeld hopefuls, he just threw a nice 30-yarder in drill. Peace out.

Redskins once had PR guy quit after 3 days. His idea of the press all wearing Redskins shirts to games didn't go over well.

You're right @JPFinlayCSN! This is by far Nate Sudfeld's best practice of training camp. Good decisions and pin-point accuracy #Redskins

Ioanndis really has improved in his get-off, quickness in addition to strength. Just did a spin move on lauvao to get to QB.

It's Williams 1, Galette 1 in one-on-one drills today. 71 overpowered 58 on first. Then on second, 58 dodged and slipped by 71 and got QB.

In the daily Junior Galette vs. Trent Williams' matchup; Williams won the first two one-on-ones. His quick set and power stymied Galette. But Williams was more patient with his hands the third time and it cost him as Galette turned the corner.

Matt Jones continually struggling to keep his feet rather than maintaining balance upon first contact.

Fantastic competition today at Redskins camp. Lots of 11-on-11 at a high level. Coaches will be pleased.

Running back Samaje Perine has shown his power today -- but he just had the ball stripped around the 5-yard line.

Corner Kendall Fuller has had a good practice in the red zone with three pass breakups. He's always in the right spot and his timing has been excellent, knocking the ball away. He also had a good jam earlier vs. Terrelle Pryor that causes the receiver to stumble.

Overheard at camp: "Let's f------ go! Let's f------ go!" That was appropriately named safety D.J. Swearinger after the defense had just forced quarterback Kirk Cousins to throw the ball away on their final play in the red zone. It was the third straight stop for the defense. No one was more fired up than Swearinger.

Rookie report: Running back Samaje Perine, a fourth-round pick, showed that he's going to always finish physical. On a run around the end, in which he turned the corner, Perine finished with a hard elbow into safety Deshazor Everett, which riled up the defense. Later, though, Perine was stripped of the ball on a run at the 5-yard line. He did get some work with the starters as Rob Kelley sat out.

Redskins injury report: Receiver Jamison Crowder (right hamstring) missed his second day of practice. Linebacker Martrell Spaight (hamstring) is being evaluated. Running back Rob Kelley sat out the team portion of practice and has a sore neck. But he was going to rest regardless.

Bashaud Breeland just ended practice --with a missed 40-yard field goal. Coach Jay Gruden gave him one kick and Breeland blooped a ball that failed to reach the end zone. He'll stay at corner.

Terrelle Pryor wasn't able to get much in the red zone during full-team work but he has been effective at other times in 7-on-7 work. The Redskins can line him up in a tight split, for example, and have him cut outside, with another receiver outside to clear.

Rookie tight end Jeremy Sprinkle struggled on one blitz pickup block, lowering his head and losing the rusher. After practice tight ends coach Wes Phillips worked with Sprinkle on his blocking in general, focusing on his base and keeping his feet balanced.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw a nice bullet to receiver Ryan Grant in the back of the end zone during a 7-on-7 drill. With Terrelle Pryor doubled on the play, Cousins found Grant. Later in the day, Cousins and Grant weren't on the so-called same page. Under duress Cousins threw to where he thought Grant would be-- but he had kept running and Josh Norman intercepted.

Ryan Grant has had several catches today including one vs. coverage of Norman BUT he just wiped out on a cut that nearly ended as a JNo. INT

Diane Chesebrough @DiChesebrough 15h15 hours ago

Qualifying with "they're not in pads" & even tho the RBs have had a good day today I believe the #Redskins will be better vs the run in '17

Chris Russell @Russellmania621 15h15 hours ago

#Redskins showing a lot of secondary blitz looks & fakes to get offenses attention. Have seen Dunbar & Blackmon among others.

Chris Russell @Russellmania621 17h17 hours ago

#Redskins HC Jay Gruden says Nico Marley continues to make big plays and earned the opportunity in OTA's. Grandson of Bob, of course.

I wonder about kicker Dustin Hopkins. Better have good preseason or competition may show up.

Rick Snider @Snide_Remarks 54s54 seconds ago

Watched Jonathan Allen and can't tell anything yet. Have to wait for games.

Rick Snider @Snide_Remarks 3m3 minutes ago

As for Colt McCoy, he looks like usual. Can be a spot starter.

Rick Snider @Snide_Remarks 5m5 minutes ago

Your daily Sudfeld note: See big improvement in mechanics and arm strength from year ago. Could he one day start? Who knows? Watch preseason

Rick Snider @Snide_Remarks 6m6 minutes ago

The Redskins are stacked at WR. Quick will need a big preseason like Thrash did, but things happen to watch him. Maybe practice squad.

Rick Snider @Snide_Remarks 11m11 minutes ago

Observations from Redskins training camp: Don't sleep on rookie WR James Quick. He could be the PR. Fast, agile. Reminds me of James Thrash.
