Good question. No idea the answer. Maybe a @DCBarno stat? Or something @SportInfo247 knows?

@JPFinlayCSN If Holsey/Harvey-Clemmons make the roster, that will be two 7th rounders in the same draft to make the 53 since....

Skins keeping a few late round picks. Guess when ppl said they had a nice draft they were right. Hosley to me is the gold there.

The Redskins have more than twice as many players 23 years or younger than they do 30 or older on their roster. The Redskins have 11 players under 23 and five older than 30. Of the elder group, three are considered starters: end Ziggy Hood, tight end Vernon Davis (in a two tight-end look) and long snapper Nick Sundberg. Of the under-23 crowd, six are expected to start or be key players: Ends Jonathan Allen and Matt Ioanndis, linebacker Ryan Anderson (when healthy), corner Kendall Fuller and running back Samaje Perine.

Washington cut three of its draft picks from the Scot McCloughan era: running back Matt Jones, quarterback Nate Sudfeld and guard Arie Kouandjio. Of the two drafts McCloughan ran as general manager, the Redskins have eight of the 17 players on their current roster. Seven of those eight players will either start or play key roles in a rotation.

The Redskins kept 27 defensive players on their 53-man roster compared to only 23 on offense. Expect that number to change over the next few days once they sift through cuts by other teams. For now, they have 10 linebackers, including rookie Josh Harvey-Clemons and 11 defensive backs, including safety Stefan McClure. The only draft pick to not make the roster was sixth-round receiver Robert Davis, whom they'd like to sign to the practice squad.

The Redskins will receive a seventh-round pick from the Rams in next year's draft for tight end Derek Carrier, per source. The Redskins had a surplus at tight end and did not want to part with rookie Jeremy Sprinkle because of his size and length, both of which they consider rare at this position anymore.

Among the Redskins early cuts Saturday: running back Matt Jones, quarterback Nate Sudfeld and nose tackles Joey Mbu and A.J. Francis. Jones' release is not a surprise and with Sudfeld the Redskins now have to hope he doesn't get signed by another team as they'd like to sign him to the practice squad. Finally, by releasing Mbu and Francis, the Redskins lack a true nose tackle. They'll no doubt look for one after final cuts or use a combination of Ziggy Hood and Stacy McGee at the position. They also cut receiver Maurice Harris.

No media today. We won’t get a practice report until Wednesday, although we should see individual drills on Sun/Tue.
