dfitzo53
Maybe put the pic in spoiler tags? I don't personally have a problem with it, but I'm not sure everybody wants to see that without warning.
twa
My mother had one of those, they thought I was another one (since she couldn't get pregnant) and irradiated me. I hate going to doctors.

The medical consultation forces them to face what they would rather not see. Dr Manoukian said "There is a feeling body, a thinking body and a desiring body in us" . All three do not always get along well. The medical visit is the time when the feeling and the desire come together. It's an emotionnal upheaval in the daily life, he notes. Moreover, any pathology is a moment of rupture. It can be momentary or, if it is more serious, can be a real break in life."

JSSkinz
13 hours ago, China said: Woman has 132 lb. tumor removed at Danbury Hospital DANBURY — Medical staff at Danbury Hospital performed lifesaving surgery to remove a 132 pound ovarian tumor from a woman in February. A team of surgeons, physicians, and medical staff was able to remove one of the largest known ovarian tumors in a five hour surgery. The woman was able to go home after two weeks in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Hospital officials said she has returned to a healthy weight. Doctors discovered the 132-pound benign mucinous ovarian tumor in the 38-year-old woman after she experienced a rapid weight gain of about 10 pounds a week over two months. The removal was done in a single surgery. Click on the link for the full article Holly **** I thought my tumor was big, that's insane.
China
Cancer cells engineered with CRISPR slay their own kin Using gene editing, scientists have hoodwinked tumor cells into turning against their own kind. Cancer cells circulating in the bloodstream have something of a homing instinct, able to find and return to the tumor where they originated. To capitalize on that ability, researchers engineered these roving tumor cells to secrete a protein that triggers a death switch in resident tumor cells they encounter. The cancer-fighting cancer cells also have a built-in suicide switch — so the weaponized cells self-destruct before they can start tumors of their own, the team reports in the July 11 Science Translational Medicine. The new study isn’t the first attempt to fight cancer with cancer. Previous research has used circulating tumor cells to deliver cancer-killing viruses to noncirculating tumor cells, for example. But the new approach uses a gene-editing technology called CRISPR/Cas9 to manipulate the offensive-line cancer cells and give them more sophisticated properties, such as the ability to self-destruct once no longer needed.
