bowhunter Posted December 10, 2012 Share Posted December 10, 2012 They interviewed the Kobra on 980 last week and tactfully asked the same question. He answered that he didn't do kickoffs in college, so he just doesn't have the muscle memory yet for the kick, which is a different motion than FGs and PATs. He said he thought he'd be better at it once he'd done enough reps in practice for that memory to develop.I'd bet we see a significant improvement next season... I sure as hell hope that Danny doesn't "fix" his kickoff technique in any way that alters this young mans FG motion. Same reason that baseball players don't play softball, it messes up their swing. Find a darn punter (or linebacker for that matter) who can kickoff and LEAVE THIS KIDS SWING ALONE DANNY!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RichmondRedskin88 Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 I'm gonna be honest I'd more than happy just finding a kickoff specialist or punter to kickoff because I don't want Kai's style thrown off.
