The Nats fan base has just started to grow. All the people who started following them this year won't be able to truly appreciate what Zimm did with a bunch of crap around him. Forehead Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 You could make arguments for the baseball players right now. Washington DC is a sports town and Griffin is already #1. However, D.C. has very strong basketball roots and is a city that loves it's basketball, from the playgrounds to the college level on up. If the Wizards ever got to be consistently competitive, I'll bet John Wall would easily exceed Strasburg/Harper in this city. But it has to happen first. Ovi finally gets back into shape, and the NHL decides to have a lockout. I bet you he made a one-year commitment to playing defense too, itll expire on Oct 1, 2013. If that is a recent picture, color me impressed. Best he's looked since his rookie year.
