Which situation would you prefer to be in, on offense?

......which would you prefer if you were on offense, and trailing the other team late in a game?

Situation: 2:00 to go in the game, you have all 3 of your timeouts remaining. Would you rather be:

1. On your own 30-yard line, needing a field goal;

or

2. On your opponents' 30-yard line, needing a touchdown?

3. On the goal line, needing anywhere between 2-5 points.

Option 1. Try to score a TD and milk the clock at the same time. If I don't score or get a first down, the kicker better make his kick.

Getting 40 yards in the middle of the field seems much, much easier with 2 minutes to go. Option 1.

In option 2, even if you score, you will probably leave the other team some time to score themselves.

Like which situation would I prefer to be in, if it were the Redskins?

I am not confident at all with Rex Grossman in the 2 minute, he's servicable anywhere else, but he's just terrible in the 2 minutes, fumbles and interceptions every single time.

I would prefer the option 1, so you could milk time if you see fit, and it's probably easier as the defense starts to play to not give up a touchdown.
