Lombardi's_kid_brother
Even when the show was "good," it kind of sucked. It got by on lifestyle porn, boobs, and Jeremy Piven's force of personality for a long long time. Here is a question for the room: Is Adrian Grenier the worst actor to ever be the ostensible lead on a successful show? It's really between him and Tony Danza, right? And Tony Danza was at least likeable. Adrian Grenier fascinates me. He has terrible comic timing. He can't do dramatic scenes. He is so lacking in charisma, that I sometimes wonder why Turtle doesn't lead the group. He looks like a douchebag. Here is what the last season should have been. Vince either dead of an OD or in jail and the boys trying to figure out their place in Hollywood without their anchor.

Lombardi's_kid_brother
I agree with your last part, but then how would they make a movie? I can't imagine how awful a movie would be. I would certainly not pay to see these people. The only one of the four I ever actually liked was Drama, but he stopped being interesting the minute he started being wildly successful. Heisenberg
They should have hired you to write the last season LKB. Your idea about them finding their place in Hollywood could actually be great. I don't understand how they screwed up such a great premise. Like I said, at least the show used to be funny.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
I don't understand how they screwed up such a great premise. Like I said, at least the show used to be funny. 1. Because the premise had a shelf life. Honestly, would you watch 8 seasons of them getting laid while Vince tries to figure out his next project? 2. Because the actors are awful. Debi Mazar is the third best actor on the show, and she hasn't had a scene in years. (Piven is good and Dillon is actually pretty good in what is a pretty challenging role). The heart of this show was the Vince-Eric friendship. And a show with two good actors with chemistry could have repeated the formula for a pretty long time and still be watchable. But the two leads were unlikable and had no chemistry. Honestly, at this point, any scene they share is uncomfortable. Awful shows can go a long way on chemistry. My wife likes Franklin and Bash so I've watched a few episodes. It's by no means good, but Zack Morris and Travis Birkinstock are pretty entertaining when they are just interacting. If those two or actors like them were the leads on Entourage, the show could have really really had potential. I keep coming back to this simple problems, but does anyone who watches the show actually like E? Do people want him to marry the beautiful rich girl? Doesn't the beautiful rich girl deserve better? He's been the most level headed guy out of the group, which is a challenging role because of all the **** he has to deal with on a daily basis. And he actually has more to gain after the show ends because he can actually act, direct, and write.

Warhead36
The best actors on Entourage are definitely Jeremy Piven and Kevin Dillon. And whoever said Adrian Grenier is terrible is right. Actually he wasn't as bad in the earlier seasons, but now he's really getting exposed. And Franklin and Bash is ****ing terrible. Suits blows it out of the water as far as legal shows are concerned. It's a bad show but the chemistry between the leads is good. Apparently, Rizzoli and Isles is the same way except everyone wants those two to be Lesbians. TNT....we know homo-erotic tension. Unless it gets tremendous reviews, I am not giving them anymore of my money. I'll download it.
Warhead36
I didn't mind the finale, if only because I was happy to see the show finally end. But yeah it was absolutely rushed. The final season should have been a full 12-13 episodes, with the finale being a one hour special or something. Overall a disappointing ending to what was once an awesome show. I'm looking forward to watching Dillon on CBS this fall in his new show How To Be A Gentleman.
Grizz
I also agree the final was rushed. But for those that didn't stick around to see the scene after the credit rolled. That was probably the best part. 1st off, Damn! Ari's wife looked good in a bikini. 2nd Ari looked like his head was going to explode when he got offered the job. If they make a movie, I guess this is where it will lead off
artmonkforHOF
What??? A movie? Has that been confirmed?? typical HBO teasing, and with Grenier now making the film festival rounds for his "Teenage Papparzzo" project he always gets asked about the movie and always says something positive about it, like "we all want to do it", or "it's a go! we just need to write it." type of crap. They did leave the door wide open for a movie, but it was so manufactured to get to that point I don't even know if I care to watch it anymore. I had no idea why Sloan's pregnancy was revealed an episode earlier, but it was all a set up for the finale, kinda a week story line but all of them where; Drama's TV movie troubles, Turtles new status and Vince's engagement all where stuck in there to give us the movie cliffhanger and it showed. I am always disappointed when a favourite show of mine ends, but this ending and the entire 8th season was disappointing because of the poor quality of the final few shows. One big thing that was missing was all the recurring cast who help make the show so great-why the hell was there no Debi Mazr in the finale? even for a quick scene, something like she calls Vince about the wedding or whatever, but at least they could have said goodbye to her. 'Skins_&_'Stons
Not only was it rushed, but the finale took "Happily Ever After", fed it some acid & multiplied it by 10,000. What a complete joke...
Heisenberg
Well believe it...http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/09/12/entourage-team-committed-to-doing-a-movie/ Exec producer Mark Wahlberg was also bullish on the prospect: “Well, I said if I had to finance myself, I’d do it. I certainly hope it has a chance to become a feature film, everybody always says the episodes are too short. [Viewers] want to go on a journey. The Hangover to me is like Entourage.” The Hangover was a comedy and was funny. Something this show forgot about 2-3 seasons ago - very disappointing. Skins4Life6388
I guess I'm the only person that still enjoys the show-they went a different angle as the guys matured and I kinda liked it.
