Has anyone ever been to St. Maarten? My wife and I are headed down for a 5 night trip in early May. If anyone has ever been, I'd like some ideas on things to do/must sees and any restaurant recommendations. We have a place to stay so that part is done we just need ideas on things to do/see. thanks.

Try out the reviews on TripAdvisor. Restaurants, Hotels and things to do. I usually get some other good sites to go to from there.

You might also want to try this Timeshare Users Group website. Not sure about St. Maartens, but I've found a lot of useful information for some of the places we've been to (Caribbean & Hawaii).

We're heading to St. Kitts tomorrow...:)

Where are you staying? As to restaurants the places on the beach in Grand Case are pretty unreal

We are staying at La Sammana in Les Terres Basses near Mullet Bay and Maho Beach (about 10 min or so from the ariport). thanks for the responses so far keep em coming.

We went there on our honeymoon.

You must go to the Sunset Beach Bar. Its the bar next to the airport where that video is shot:

Kids stand on the beach behind the runway and get blown in to the water by the jet exhaust. Its awesome to watch with a Mai Tai.

Take the ferry over to Anguilla for a day.

We also enjoyed a catamaran day trip to a nearby snorkeling place called Prickly Pear.

yeah Ive seen that bar looks pretty intense we may try to get to that at least one day. As far as Anguilla my wife has been there and loved it so it might be a good choice. Do you recall the price/length of the trip? and does the ferry just run back and forth or does it have a set schedule?
