It's a little nasty down here in Harrisonburg already, have sleet/ice on the ground and trees before the snow starts

Today is the 11th anniversary of the Suprise Storm of January 2000. What was supposed to out to to sea hit DC with 6-12 inches and Baltimore with 18 inches of snow. We went to sleep hearing nothing, woke up with heavy snow falling.

It started at 12:30 and by 1:15 we were already at an inch or so it's still coming down at a good pace, we haven't seen those heavy bands yet but its been pretty bad so far

Well for a good 45 mins or so it was a heavy band but then it slowed down a little bit. It's been pretty crazy so far and everything is sticking already. Add in the ice and sleet we got this morning and it will be a bad storm for us. Could be a nice 4 day weekend

According to Accuweather the snow totals for Ashburn is still 6-12. My mom said that WUSA9 moved it up to 8-12 for Loudoun.

Well for a good 45 mins or so it was a heavy band but then it slowed down a little bit. It's been pretty crazy so far and everything is sticking already. Add in the ice and sleet we got this morning and it will be a bad storm for us. Could be a nice 4 day weekend
