Redskins tight ends coach Jon Embree spent time in the locker room after the Giants game shaking hands with tight ends Chris Cooley, Fred Davis and Logan Paulsen, making plans for dinner when Embree is able to get back to Washington after his introduction as the head coach at the University of Colorado later this week.

"It's a job I've always wanted," said Embree, a Colorado alum.

Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said he meant to address his team about Embree's impending departure after the game, but in the wake of a 31-7 loss it slipped his mind.

"We're very happy for Jon," Shanahan said. "He'll make a heck of a head coach. ... It's a dream job for him. He's done a heck of a job for us, and I wish him well."

Get out while you still can.

Can you image Haslett at the U? Ha, that would be funny.

I say he's more of a Michigan man myself. He'd fit right in with that defense. I'd take the wolverines defense right now than the redskins.

Thanks for the update jsteelz. I'm not familiar with McVay, any opinions on him? Is this an upgrade for the Skins, or is he more likely just a fill-in until MS can get someone else?

Sean McVay was already on staff. His job status was "Offensive assistant" He was the TE coach in the UFL with Hass's team before landing with us

People out here are pretty high on this guy, and hungry for a winner. He's jumping from the frying pan and in to the fryer as the CU program is in the pits and the fans here are equally as demanding and bipolar.
