Jumbo
..... criminally low on story. Mainly, to the rightwingers. :pfft:
GhostofSparta
Am I the only person on the planet who has not seen Avatar? Nope, you're not alone man. And from what I've heard, if you didn't see it in 3D in the theaters, it's not worth your time. So I will probably never see it.
HogNose
Am I the only person on the planet who has not seen Avatar? If you have seen Dances with Wolves then you basically have seen Avatar. Great visuals and worth seeing but the story has been done before.
Koolblue13
I loved it. Great visuals, typical story line, politically left leaning undertones. Typical movie, done very well and creative. I'm excited to see more of them.
Jumbo
I would hardly consider Avatar one of the better sci-fi fantasy movies as far as script and acting go, but it's no POS. It's just lightweight but serviceable sci-fi/fantasy with state of the art visuals and serious creativity in scene structure. I'd tell anyone not to listen to haters or settle for DVD---just go see it and don't expect "Blade Runner" plot/acting wise. Some people dump on it more than is merited. I liked "regular" 3-D better than IMAX for it, and it stands up fine in non-3D (I am not a big 3D fan overall).
Koolblue13
People like to bash this movie for not being the second coming of History of the World part I or Ghandi for some reason, but it's still a great movie. The kind you can watch over and over. Just like Independence Day. I don't like 3D movies.

Sticksboi05
This is James Cameron we are talking about. Stop hating. Yall know you loved the first one. James Cameron made Terminator 2, and Aliens, both amazing sequels that are considered better than their predecessors Avatar sucks. Terminator 1 was great. Alien was great. There's the difference. Sucks is too harsh but it's just mediocre.
