We should have some friggin pride and play like we're looking for blood. But we still look listless. I'm not loving Wall's effort on defense either. Just keeps losing Jarrett Jack and letting him get by him because he's not playing with intensity or focus. Beal has been caught watching a little too much with Joe Johnson too, but I expect that more out of him. Also we've been letting their bigs get deep position too easily. Destino Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) You know what it is... we are losing virtually all of our 1v1 matchups defensively. Jack is working John. Plumlee is just too fast for Gortat. Beal can't guard anyone on the Nets. It's not ball movement or anything fancy, each player is just failing to guard their assignment. For the first month of the season he didn't have that part of his game. He was slow inside and couldn't jump. He needs to lose some weight, like Seraphin did.
