zoony
His elbow must not be progressing at all. I've always liked him as a QB- he's kind of the Pennington type. No physical attributes whatsoever but he made a dam fine career out of it.
Rocky21
The Panthers are dumb. They saved around a million off the cap this year by cutting him but are still on the hook for nearly $13 million in guaranteed money from the contract extension they gave him last spring. If they are going in the Matt Moore direction they'll still have to pay someone a contract worth a million to back him up. ???

ZRagone
It wasn't just the arm not coming along. According to one of their coaches once they put Matt Moore in they found they were able to start opening up the offense more and trying a wider array of plays. He picked up the scheme far quicker and was far better at executing it than Delhomme was. I highly doubt even if they kept him signed he would've been the starter by opening day
Mickalino
After the Skins sign Campbell, I think they trade a 7th rounder for Campbell to compete with AJ Feeley and Daunte Culpepper for the #3 spot behind Matt Moore.

The Panthers are definitely pretty dumb. They gave Delhomme that extension to fit him under the cap and create some extra space. The extra space was to try and keep Peppers around. And now they don't have Delhomme or Peppers.

Feeley signed with the Rams today.

Moore is likely nothing more than a stopgap.

Bubble Screen
More like crying because a great and glorious chapter of his life has come to an end. Yeah, normally I'd probably make fun of a guy doing what Jake did. But he was emotional because he feels Carolina gave him his big break. And he had alot of success there. I would be willing to bet he will land some kind of job with the Panthers down the road. Despite his struggles, he has always been a stand up guy. redskindan07
Jake is a good guy. I would much rather seem him as a backup than Grossman.
