21MadFan
Cause I nominate London Flether to be our Head Coach, or atleast our Def. Coordinator. What do you guys think? Its a little out the box thinking
TheGoodBits
Just a tad out of the box.
skinfan2k
Heck if this would happen. We should steal Peyton Manning from the Colts.
Hunglow
Well, if we're nominating people, then I will be the first (of many, I'm sure) to nominate #3 on his jersey, but #1 in our hearts: Jeff George. He would solve all our problems. He could coach the quarterbacks, call all the plays and certainly can make all the throws. He probably can't run the front office, though...so maybe we could bring back Charlie Casserly for that...
moondog
Damn good suggestion. Fletcher for Owner too!!!
stickyshooZ
Heck if this would happen. We should steal Peyton Manning from the Colts. Manning isthe closest thing to being both a coach as well as a player. I'd love it if he was our QB, but he'd probably hate all the turnover that goes on here. Veretax
I think back in the old days it did in fact happen. IN fact I think we had a player coach at one time, but can't recall his name off hand.
httrburgundyandgold
as the MLB isn't fletcher already calling the plays? or at least have a large say in who has who?
bih
as the MLB isn't fletcher already calling the plays? or at least have a large say in who has who? he should completly ignore Blache and do his own thing!
master4caster
I know you are frustrated. We all are. But you can't do well at both jobs at the same time. Having Fletcher as coach means overseeing the linemen, and defensive backs in the week leading up to games. All that takes away from his prep as a linebacker. It would show on the field. When the NFL was young, in the 1930s, guys like George Halas would play and coach.
MarkB452
I believe Sam Huff was a player and a coach (but not head coach) for the Redskins in 1969 under Lombardi.
MadMonkey
Jimmy Spencer cornerback for the Broncos was a player\coach and was very effective and Dan Reeves was player coach in 71 when he played for the Cowboys under Landry
CaliforniaSkin
Cause I nominate London Flether to be our Head Coach, or atleast our Def. Coordinator. What do you guys think? Its a little out the box thinking Sorry but I think you might have just demonstrated the need for the box . It would be interesting to see if he ends up coaching in the future but the most he'd be qualified for now would LB coach.
Bubble Screen
Forget being out of the box. You're in the on deck circle. Seriously, this is pretty ridiculous. I hope this is a joke.
Zguy28
It used to be very normal before 1950 or so I think. Lots of times the QB or FB were the coach also. Of course QB's used to call their own plays on the field too.
