Koolblue13
No, by teaching little children about sex, of course. Don't put words in my mouth please. Last time we talked about this, it came down to you saying "because I like him better" and then I was called out in another thread for not answering you. Koolblue13
If Obama does great, expect Michele Obama to run in 2016. You heard it here first (unless you heard it somewhere else before). That Linda Chenney has a lot of charisma. Could make for quite the cat fight.
HOF44
I just lament the passing of the Republican party from a monetarily conservative party to a values driven fundamentalist party.
alexey
Do you believe the government will get smaller under Obama? There is a lot more to this question than bigger vs smaller. Focusing on size and not function leads to making stupid cuts such as killing the Office of Technology Assessment. There is a good chance that it will get smarter. Doing things smarter costs less money.
Prosperity
I'm excited because the Republicans and Neo-Cons will get trounced. Obama is an afterthought to me. well I'm excited for two reasons: One, I think Obama is an intelligent man with a strong moral back bone (for a politician anyway), this is what I want out of my leader. (something we have been missing for longer than I remember) Two, A landslide victory for the liberals may get the Republicans to reflect and change their strategy. They were an overly nationalistic and frighteningly populist path. This wing of the party has to be reigned in, they make good followers, but once they start dictating policy everybody loses. this country needs a two viable parties. The Republicans may actually do better and learn from their mistakes... hopefully their lesson won't be get slimier.
alexey
accept that naughty tyranny that takes money from one group of citizens in order to benefit from another, all by force. Do not equate having a government to tyranny.

Hubbs
Do you believe the government will get smaller under Obama? Sadly, our only current choices are "the party that will expand the government" and "the party that will expand the government at a slightly slower rate." alexey
who siad that collecting taxes is tyrannical? If you collect taxes, then you are taking from one group to benefit another unless everybody takes exact same advantage of services that you provide.
