Ellis
I'm tired of all the debates and/or lack thereof... we gotta step up and move on the issue, people. Pickens seems to be the only one presenting a well thought out idea... while Congress tries to figure out how THEY can benefit for the topic for the election. http://www.pickensplan.com/

SUSkinsFan
That is a decent looking plan. I don't understand how an issue such as energy policy becomes so partisan. The practice of sticking it to the other side just for the hell of it has to stop and it has to stop soon or this country is in serious trouble. Ellis
I'm promoting the hell out of the pickensplan.com site to everyone I know. It's time we start pushing our politicians to do something. I'm sick of all the ****ing. Let's WORK! Pickens has put together a decent idea which is 100% more than any of these stupid politicians have done. twa
I would like to see him address nuclear and solar as well... I'm sure he will be happy to...not sure if you can afford it though The wind project is heavily subsidized and requires billions in additional infrastructure Five billion bucks for starters was approved here just to upgrade transmission lines. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/07/20/business/19wind.php Ain't nothing free,my bill just went up. mardi gras skin
my bill just went up. Yeah but, "for every $3 invested, we'll probably see about an $8 reduction in electric costs." Think of it as an investment.

twa
Better a windmill in your backyard than an oil refinery. Why?...they can be quite beautiful in the moonlight, the gas flares are especially captivating

Yeah, but maybe your bill goes up 3 dollars INSTEAD of going up 8 dollars in rising electric prices. That's a price cut you get but don't actually see. Not perfect, but better.
Thiebear
It's ok, but not fantastic, and he oversells Natural Gas. The US is the largest Natural Gas Country with HUGE amounts being found every day.. We could get rid of 80% of the oil if we went with Natural gas cars. Natural Gas cars have a switch on the dash so you can go back and forth depending on whats available in that neighborhood gas stations. We should over sell Natural gas for the next 10 years, its doable NOW!
