Rest in peace. EDIT: I know he technically was not in the NFL, but I thought he would have been a great tackle prospect for us to take in the later rounds. drowland
Wow...I'd actually read some things on this guy with the draft coming up. He was considered a good sleeper pick being he was highly recruited to Tenn and transfered to a small school. Prays to his family.
Mr. S
hmm, a former Vol (though it's surprising he got released for academic troubles since that's damn near impossible in the SEC). A projected 2nd or 3rd rounder who was recruited by a big school, and from his profile, it sounds like he was a really good sleeper. Most of his flaws were correctable. Sad indeed. Dirk Diggler
Didn't the Redskins draft a dead guy back in the 40s?
Hiro
Always sad to hear when a young talented person dies before they reach their potential in any area. R.I.P.
kuraitengai
that really sucks. my thoughts are with his family. there was apparently a lot going on down there today. cuz there was some huge fire in the general newberry area as well. saw a huge column of smoke that went for miles as i was driving by newberry to columbia
Jimbo
You just hate to see an early end for a guy who had his whole life, not to mention a promising career, in front of him. My prayers go out to his family. RIP Heath.
[[ghost]]
Pity. He should have had a bright future ahead of him. RIP.
The Sisko
I had been interested in this guy as a mid round pick for us for a while. Imagine how shocking it was to be looking up draft profiles and see he's gone. That's just truly sad. I just saw this article on another site and thought I'd start a thread. Good thing the search function is working now.
