HigSkin
http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/giants/2008/01/spags-to-interview-with-skins.html Steve Spagnuolo, the Giants’ defensive coordinator, is expected to be interviewed by the Washington Redskins for their head coaching vacancy on either Monday or Tuesday, according to multiple NFL sources. The interview is expected to be conducted somewhere in the Phoenix area, since Redskins owner Dan Snyder will be in town for Super Bowl XLII. Snyder does not need to get permission from the Giants to talk to Spagnuolo once the game is over on Sunday night. Spagnuolo, of course, can still decline the invitation, though he probably won’t. Unless he knocks Snyder’s socks off, though, he’s not likely to get the job. Jim Fassel is still the odds-on favorite to become the next Redskins coach. DesertWrestler
I'm still 50/50 on him. Love his enthusiasm and his players seem to love him. Perhaps it is his tenor, not sure. Just something seems wierd about it.

skinsince72
I am not so sure it is Fassell. Why would Dan still be interviewing? Dan usually jumps in head first. He is being much more laid back this time around. That impresses me!

rk3025
Great idea give it to Spagnuolo which had the worst defense of the 4 teams in our division 351 points scored! Maybe then Vinny will get fired for the third and charm time and would it be even better if Danny boy took his profit and ran! http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/giants/2008/01/spags-to-interview-with-skins.htmlSteve Spagnuolo, the Giants’ defensive coordinator, is expected to be interviewed by the Washington Redskins for their head coaching vacancy on either Monday or Tuesday, according to multiple NFL sources. fxoptions
JUst out on ESPN Mariucci will interview for Redskins' job with Snyder before Super Bowl Associated Press Updated: January 31, 2008, 6:11 PM ET Comment Email Print WASHINGTON -- It's time to move Steve Mariucci from "maybe" to "definite" on the list of Washington Redskins coaching candidates. The former San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions coach will interview with owner Dan Snyder about the Redskins vacancy, a person familiar with the selection process told The Associated Press on Thursday. The interview will take place in Arizona before the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Redskins have not publicly released the names of any candidates. Mariucci has been cagey about his interest in the Redskins all week, regularly issuing non-denials when the subject was raised by colleagues on the air during his current job as an analyst for the NFL Network. Mariucci's contract with the network expires after the Super Bowl. Mariucci was 75-71, including 3-4 in the playoffs, over nine seasons in San Francisco and Detroit. He won two division titles with the 49ers and took them to the postseason four times in six years. He was far less successful with the Lions, going 15-28 before he was fired late in the 2005 season. Mariucci joins former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel and Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Ron Meeks as leading contenders to succeed Joe Gibbs, who resigned Jan. 8. Snyder is also interested in interviewing Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels after the Super Bowl. hailtotheskins69
I want either Meeks or Spagnuolo. DEFINITELY not Fassel. Mooch is my third choice. Hoping this is resolved after the Spags interview.
Cambl2Moss
The more I think about it, the more I think it will be Mooch. He has worked with Zorn and Blache in the past and Snyder has said that the candidates he spoke with "spoke highly of the DC and OC" moves he made. All signs point to Mooch
