StillUnknown
I wonder how much they charge for the PPV if it gets made. May/Canelo was $75 if I recall, and it still did 2.2mil buys. Wouldn't really shock me if they forced it up to 85-100 if the fight gets made.
DM72
I've heard it could be the first $100 PPV.
StillUnknown
I've heard it could be the first $100 PPV. Boxing is home to some damn vultures. Make us wait for a diminished version of fight we want to see, then charge us damn near double to watch it, knowing that we'll pay.

StillUnknown
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxing/despite-arum-s-comments--no-tv-deal-reached-for-mayweather-pacquiao-002355617.html more in the link On Thursday, Arum told the Associated Press that Showtime and HBO had come to a deal to finalize their side of talks to broadcast the highly anticipated super fight. Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, told veteran AP sports columnist Tim Dahlberg that after the TV issues had been resolved, there were only two outstanding issues before a deal is made.We had four issues and we resolved two. Now we're working on resolving the other two. Unless something else comes up at the last minute, that's what my take is.But within moments of the story's release, representatives on all sides of the negotiation vehemently denied the story. One person who requested anonymity told Yahoo Sports, "Believe me, if this fight doesn't get done, it will be because of Bob Arum. Nobody can figure what he is doing or why he is doing it."But Arum's insistence on public comments are clearly an impediment to reaching a deal. That is one point that people on both sides of the aisles in these talks agree about. Top Rank president Todd duBoef is irate at Arum, his step-father, but has essentially thrown his hands up in the air and said he can't control Arum.Even Pacquiao's team has gotten upset at Arum's willingness to go on the record with comments that often don't add up. DM72
But that still shouldn't detour the fight. As long as both sides are negotiating in good faith, just let Bob Arum be Bob Arum. I can see why it would drive people crazy if what he says isn't true, but is it really enough to stop negotiating?

How is that showing love for Arum? He's 81 years old. He ain't changing. So it might be best to just ignore what he says to the media.

Neither one of them have accomplished that feat in some time.

WALEOVECHKIN
Pac couldn't knock out Mayweather if he brought a sledgehammer into the ring... The plan right now according to the LA Times is that James Brown will be the host, Lampley and Bernstein will be the team to call the fight, Jim Gray will interview Mayweather and Kellerman will interview Pac.
