SKINchiefer
I just had a wild idea. Should we be given the patriots' 1st round pick that was taken from them since we lost our most valued and missed 1st rounder? ..maybe get another safety...again...R.I.P. Sean ... Rdskn4Lyf21
1. It's really tough to think about football right now. 2. That is their pick, we had a tragedy, why would they lose out?
SKINchiefer
remember they lost their 2nd pick because of the video taping. I think it was originally the 49'ers pick....and the niners might get an ok pick.,
D'KanSkinFan
I think Belichek is going to try and "steal" Ravens Ed Reeves....... according to Brady - Belichek is going to change Eds' name to Ed Belichek;)

I completely agree 2. That is the first rounder they are losing because of the spygate thing 3. It will never happen, and it would be a horrible precedent for the league to set. JimBowden
What happened to it? It just doesn't disappear...interesting thing to look into. It did just disappear. Instead of 32 picks in the first round, there will be 31.
SKINchiefer
its belongs to no one...either give it back to the niners or give it to us, even though the league wouldnt do such a thing.
SKINchiefer
They lost their pick, not the niners oh thats right..well, they should give us theirs. cant let it go to waste even if it is the last pick in the first round.

ttr77
Why didn't Denver get a pick when their player was murdered last year? I think this would set a horrible precedent for the league.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
Will there be an additional in the 7th or does 1 player lose out on being drafted? The number of draft picks vary every year anyway due to conditional picks and the like.
SKINchiefer
and if you think about it, the commissioner can do whatever he wants. no one expecte that he would strip the pats of their draft pick.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
By the way, there is no chance in helll we get an additional pick. Denver would sue the world if we did.
BALLz
You couldn't give us a pick without giving a couple to the Broncos. And then, you have to think about the Bills who had a guy with a career ending injury. I know he didn't die but you get the same result in regards to football. If they do anything and I doubt the will they might give us a compensation pick but those can't be any earlier than the end of the 3rd round. pjfootballer
This is definately never going to happen. The pick is voided. Pats have the Niners pick which is looking like a top 5 pick. Way to punish the Pats Goodell. Bravo.

Lombardi's_kid_brother
Teams that would demand additional picks. Broncos: two picks for Williams and Nash. Vikings: one pick for Korey Stringer. Carolina: two picks for Fred Lane and Rae Carruth. Chiefs: one for Derrick Thomas. Falcons: one for Michael Vick. Titans: one for PacMan Jones
Nuwanda
That would be disrespectful to him and his family. The kid got shot to death. So in order to replace him we're gonna ask for a 1st round pick? Is that what Sean's worth was? A 1st round pick?

I am sorry but I actually find this attitude to be a little selfish. This is not the first team to have a player die. Korey Stringer was a first round pick and an all pro. Gary Clark Fan
I dont think we will get an extra pick....But big difference between those other players and ST......ST was a pro bowler and our best overall player......Those guys were nfl players not superstars (no offense to any of them).......However if something happened to Tom Brady I bet the league would bend over backwords to help them. Bryan81
I thik it's wise that the NFL just take it away from the Patriots. You don't want to set a precient of special circumstances, for rewarding lost picks.

A 1st round pick? i dont necessarily think it would be disrespectful. but youre right, he was more than a 1st round pick. he will be irreplacable. I was just wondering because we just need a safety and i was just thinking of filling that void where a player played with the most passion at that position in a long time.
