mi6
Not sure whether or not Marcus cleared waivers. But, I sure do hope he does. If the Skins had courage they would drop Brandon like a bad habit.

I look for him to possibly be inactivated, and gone next year, or as soon as the cap reasonably allows.
RenegadeTK
i really hope we can keep mason around.... he seems like he has a lot of upside to develop
Chump Bailey
I'm much more unhappy about Trucks being released - not Mason.
DiscoBob
Well - dropping Mason from the roster will prove to the people out there who claimed that we could get draft picks for him that it was a pipe dream..... If there is any team that picks him up, then it's conceivable that he had trade value, but when he's not picked up, that definitively proves that he had no trade value at all.... I'm not saying that I don't like the guy, I'm just saying some of our posters think that Madden trades work in real life...
Chump Bailey
I'm a little surprised we did not look at Buster Davis - no interest, or no room for him I guess...
Riggo-toni
Soooo, all the Bramlet man-crushers have this year's Sultan McCollough to whine about. Mason had great vision and patience, but he was getting caught from behind in the open field by 3rd string LBs. He's too much of a 'tweener - not powerful enough for a bruiser, and not quick enough for a perimeter RB. And those of you who think he's faster than Rock are nuts. McMetal
They should have kept Mason and cut Bodiford. That guy did nothing to earn a roster spot here; MM was banging it out all preseason. I'd rather have 4 RB's than 6 WR's.

What makes you think you have any ability to judge the importance of Mason versus that of Bodiford to the roster. You don't know anything about Bodiford. Mason wasn't going to see the field behind Betts and Portis and Rock. Clearly the team sees something in Bodiford that makes them feel Bodiford is more important than a 4th string running back. I swear to god some people make me wonder at the conclusions they reach.
BigMike619
do we really need to keep mason? we have portis, betts and rock back there. seems like portis is running the rock pretty solid and betts was pounding it up the gut too. just my opinion, i like mason and all, but it seems like we are stacked bak there. Riggo-toni
Kenny Watson -> Sultan McCollough -> Nehemiah Broughton -> Marcus Mason -> ??? Ya know, if we'd kept Watson, at least Ramsey would've stayed upright more in '03. Canidate couldn't pick up a blitz to save his life.
Zen-like Todd
What are you smoking? He's listing all of the training camp running back man crushes people here have had over the last few years, all of whom amounted to exactly jack squat. Dude, I'm expressing an opinion as a fan, not blogging for The Post. Relax. If Bodiford has such value, why make the move for Caldwell, when there wasn't even an injury at the position? Most teams don't carry 6 WR's. Besides, Rock is more of a return specialist than a true #3 back. My point was that MM busted his ass all training camp for this team, he wasn't signed at the last second like Bodiford. He did more with this team to earn his spot than Bodiford, IMO.
