Commander Adama
OL ROSS TUCKER Height: 6-4 Weight: 310 Age: 28 College: Princeton NFL Experience: 5 Acquired: 3/8/07 (UFA) Contract: TBA :helmet: Redskins.Com Redskins Sign OL Tucker By Gary Fitzgerald Redskins.com March 8, 2007 The Redskins have signed free agent offensive lineman Ross Tucker, the team announced on Thursday. Tucker, 28, is expected to provide depth at several spots along the Redskins' offensive line. He has played tackle, guard and center in his 5-year NFL career. The Princeton product has played in 42 NFL games, with 24 starts. Tucker, 6-4 and 310 pounds, entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Redskins in 2001. He played in three games as a rookie, but he was waived the following preseason. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys and ended up starting seven games for the Cowboys in 2002. He joined the Buffalo Bills--and then-Bills head coach Gregg Williams--in 2003. In 2003-04, Tucker played in 28 games for the Bills, with 17 starts. Tucker was released by the Bills in 2005 preseason and he signed with the New England Patriots later that season. Tucker played in one game for the Patriots during the regular season. In the postseason, he saw action in the Patriots' AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Denver Broncos. Last August, Tucker was traded by the Patriots to the Cleveland Browns. He was released by the Browns after preseason and did not play during the 2006 season. Tucker hails from Wyomissing, Pa. At Princeton, he was a three-year starter. SkinsFanAnt
Nice...looks like we may be starting Wade at guard to replace Dock then.
RDSCNZ20
hmm... hope he is depth material.
skinsfan93
You can't have enough lineman with experience on the roster. Remains to see what his role might be.

RabidFan
no Wade yet....Tucker can fill in for OT, OG, C....if he can stick with the roster.
ez2envy
Cant be even decent IMO if he couldnt even catch on with another team let alone the Browns during the WHOLE 06 season.
Ernie5
This is a depth move. Nothing exciting, but needed.

waterwagen
I must be getting older - OL depth makes me HAPPY.
nightbird
I don't think it's possible to put a guy with that much experience on the practice squat. I'm not sure how that works. But let's assume this is all about interior line depth, as the press release states. He's got starting experience, so if we have to send him out there he won't be too green. Skins n' Bones
Depth, depth, depth. NOT a replacement for Dock, unless he wins the job in camp. Right now it looks like Pucillo is probably the front-runner for the LG job, but there's still a lot of time...

The Full Monty
I remember during his rookie year they used to nickname him Princeton and ask him trivia questions simply because he was Ivy League.
More Complete
meh, depth is good. Though, like everyone else has said... if this guy was any good he wouldn't have been on 5 teams in 5 years or missed all of 2006. Can't hurt to have some competition though. Can you say "camp fodder" :whoknows::paranoid::laugh:
CaptChaos86
This signing was strictly for depth, i seriously doubt he will see any real playing time, but having depth is something we def need.
D-Day
I can't imagine this being any more then a minimum deal.
Bossman_SKins
we should try to sign mulitalo cuz hes atleast starter material and already has experience playing next to rabach. so it'll help with the chemistry factor
Gilligan28
we should try to sign mulitalo cuz hes atleast starter material and already has experience playing next to rabach. so it'll help with the chemistry factor I agree, he may be 32 but really he could be a band aid for this season and next, the only thing is if he see dollar signs and wants too much
McMetal
As long as it's not taking money out of Mulitalo's pocket, I defer to their wisdom in this signing.
rick1796
welcome to the practice squad, tucker no he is ineligible for the practice squad. he has too much experience. he is a smart versatile player to back-up a number of spots along the line. A very good pick up IMO. he won't be slated to sart but he can if we need him to. plus, i always liked him.
