d0ublestr0ker0ll
Have you ever been jumped??? I have kickboxed and done jui jitsu like it was breathing for many years of my life. I've taken a couple years off but it's still as fresh as counting numbers to me. Today I was in a parking lot with my girlfriend. She was trying to park her car and she had some trouble lining it up. They looked at her and laughed, and kept doing it and started to say things. I got out and looked at them. They starred at me. They asked me what the hell I was looking at. I told them I'm aloud to look at you if you're looking at me. I asked them what was so funny. They started cursing at me which made me give them a curious look. Basically, one guy walked to the car while the other told me he was getting frustrated. He asked me if I wanted some as he threw his hands out. He came up to me aggressively. I faught off his takedown by taking away balance from him. Moving back and retaining balance. He stayed on me, so I put him in an underarm headlock. I had the best headlock I've ever had in my 7 or 8 fights. It started to choke him and I was very comfortable. I was always a kickboxer and never really utilized jui jitsu because it's something I've only been learning recently. So I was just starting to be proud of myself and let the guy go when his friend ran up from 30 yards and yanked me down to the ground. The guy I had in a headlock came down with me and I released him. While I was distracted he got me in a headlock face up. His friend started to punch me. I got a 2 mm cut above my lip that bled like hell. I never bled that much due to a fight. Not even a kickboxing match. I took 2 asprins in the morning and I think that's what made my blood run. I was reluctant to throw punches because I knew it could get me in big trouble. My punches have always been my strength. Any boxer will tell you that punching without the gloves on is scary. You could really hurt somebody with them on, and you could really REALLY hurt somebody if they weren't. That was my downfall. If I kept it to striking it would have turned out much differently.. I was 5-0 in kickboxing and have won 3 street fights. I felt guilty every time I hurt someone. Even when they were being extreme *******s. I think that may have had something to do with my focus on jui jitsu this fight, and not kickboxing. I'm ok. Fighting doesn't really HURT after you train so hard for so long, but I'm definitley emotionally scarred from losing my first fight, albiet an extremely ***** one. Have any of you ever been jumped??? RonJeremy
Have any of you ever been jumped???...me..nope. and... I don't think this is classified as being jumped. You starting a pissing match with these dudes. Being jumped is walking down the street minding your own business and some guys jump you and beat the **** out of you. These guys had a reason...not saying it was right or wrong....but you got into a fight...you weren't jumped. :2cents:
Cheers, Beers and Mountaineers
if you knew you could have whooped their asses you should have done it, and to answer your question no.

The second guy came flying in from behind after the lock. It was 1 on 1 then suprise, it was 2 on 1.
PCS
Yes. From one degree or another. And this wasn't being jumped. It was exactly what Ron said. You should know better. All the training and stuff like that isn't going to help if you don't use your head and your instincts. Experience in this area has taught me, ( the very hard way), not to lose track of the other guy or guys. Don't think, do. Chalk this up to experience and learn from it. Best thing to do sometimes, is to walk away, no matter how much you think or know you can do.
SUNSTONE
No, I was way too fast. If you were trained properly you wouldn't have even paid those guys any attention, and avoided that whole situation. Also if you were trained properly, you would have kept the fight on the feet with the possible threat of his friends jumping in.
WVUforREDSKINS
I was jumped in Morgantown about a month ago. Woke up in the hospital the next morning had stiches in my head and lip and no memory of what happend. A club bouncer told me that 5 ghetto looking kids just punched me while I was in line to get in. I should add that I was pretty drunk when this happend to maybe I was running my mouth to provoke it but I doubt it cuz I was by myself.
Zen-like Todd
It sucks to get jumped, and have that happen to you, but I have to wonder. This is your fourth street fight? Since what age? As an adult? Once I became an adult I stopped getting into fights. Bad luck, bad area, or are you looking for fights?
Ghost of
Why are these people even still breathing? Because no one lit them up earlier that's why. Too bad the 'smart' thing to do is to not get involved in a street argument. I'm not advocating scrapping to teach some idiot a lesson but some people need some brain damage to make them less of a sociopathic threat to the rest of us. Kickboxing trainers don't teach you to be aware of other people jumping in the ring to tackle you. I was preoccupied with finishing the lock, I should have known where the other guy was. When the fight started his friend wasn't even in sight. It became my focus. The only thing I need to learn is to not be cautious of throwing my fists. WVUforREDSKINS
A good street fighter will always hold an edge over anyone who has been trained. It's a fight man, don't hold anything back just **** the dude up. I would bite someone if I got the chance. I would do anything I needed to. Yup what he said I have pretty extensive training in hand to hand combat and have been threatened a lot.. First rule of thumb walk away, if you are that well trained you have nothing to prove. 2nd if you are outnumbered even if not at first.. stay on your feet and use take down blows to defend yourself
halter91
I can honestly say no, never been jumped. I was only in 1 fight and I lost, I was in the 9th grade. It's really not worth it to get into fights, especially over something stupid. Jail, Being sued, getting shot, it ain't worth it.

A street fighter fights with rage and anger using all his aggresssion. A well trained fighter will use specific blows that take little to no effort and can end the fight quickly. Trust me on this one. Street fighters will beat your average karate kid but not someone trained to fight

Mass_SkinsFan
Jumped, as in... actually assaulted on the street, no. I have had several instances where my attention to my surroundings have kept me from being in situations where I might have gotten jumped. I had a confrontation with a pair of vagrants in a parking lot several years ago, kind of along the lines of what started your little problem. The difference is that at 5'6" and 185lbs, I'm not going to get into a physical confrontation if I can avoid it... I prefer a carbon steel blade, pepper spray, or a firearm in such circumstances. In that particular instance the sight of a S&W model 686 revolver on my hip made the pair of innebriated vagrants think twice and clear out without the gun ever needing to be drawn. Zen-like Todd
I think I lost any and all urges to get in a streetfight when I saw that video clip of Kimo destroying some dude's eye in a backyard. (It was posted on extreme awhile back, search for it at your peril).
DoGood28
I was jumped once. Some jerk I worked with at best buy didn't like me and one day we got in an argument. About a week later I'm shopping in a nearby mall and I just happen to run into him and his punk friends. I keep walking and they start talking **** then one of them hit me from behind. I start defending myself and trying to keep my distance while they start grabbing my shirt and kicking/punching me. I get hit a couple times until a judge for the juvenile detention center of Manassas jail comes in and breaks up the fight.  He just happened to be shopping with his wife and saw everything. He immediately told me he was going to testify for me and escorted me to the mall police station where I made a report. He got his license suspended and got community service and a restraining order. Never saw him again. EDIT: Oh yea, I left the mall and went across the street to the best buy, they saw my cut and bruises and fired him the next day.
