skinsrule88
jason campbell has been a redskin for a year and has had no playing tome during his first season, do u think he will play next season maybe even possibly start?
terpfan
Only if Brunell gets hurt and/or REALLY sucks.
Renesis
Only way I see him getting playing time this season is a Brunell injury, or a blowout. Basically the same way Ramsey got playing time last year post week 1.
SaltySpice1028
I really hope he doesn't play unless it's in a blowout win. Otherwise we're either losing badly or Brunell is injured.
Kurd Cudins
I think even if Brunell struggles in preseason Gibbs will go with him. Gibbs understands that it may take him some time to develop a rhythm with the new receivers, as well as adjust to a new OC. Unless Brunell is injured or ages quickly over the offseason, he will be our opening day starter.
Tastes Like Chicken
I'd rather not delay the inevitable. JC is the QB of the future, so let's move forward with him now. We all know that MB will either get injured or tire out by about week 13 or so. At that point, inserting JC would be awful timing, seeing as how the rest of the team will have jelled by that point. Put him in now. Let him make his mistakes. But also let him learn in the game, at game speed and develop some rhythm and timing with our new receiver corps. *my 100th post, woohoo! drums and skins
I know the pace of preseason and regular season games are different, but I hope Campbell gets more time this preseason... I know Brunell is the starter and needs to get a little rhythm going with the new offense, but I'd like to see campbell play a few quarters, rather than a few plays. saskin
I honestly think he sits out another year. I think Collins may be our #2. Now, I REALLY want to see Campbell. But I just have a feeling Campbell will be #3. But that'll be his last year of sitting however.
IM A REDSKIN FAN
I really wish Campbell would play but chances are Brunell will...
skinsrule88
i really wanna see him play too i mean he has great potential, i think hell see some playing time this season and maybe start next season, i mean if u think about it Brunell is getting old
skinsrule88
if u look at his career in auburn he did pretty well for himself, 45 touchdowns 8 of which were rushing, 7,299 yards, and all under 4 offensive coordinators he sure can learn quick
bobzmuda
Not to sound all voodoo mumbo-jumbo, but it is inevitable that Brunell will get hurt this year and Campbell will see the field. It's just one of those things that will happen.

MartinC
jason campbell has been a redskin for a year and has had no playing tome during his first season, do u think he will play next season maybe even possibly start? Only if Brunnel and Collins both get hurt and/or the season is dead with 3 or 4 games to play.
smitty71
In a blowout or if MB goes down for good.
Vegas-Born
If he is ready to take the keys--give 'em to him. If not, let Mark continue to drive. That simple.
Buck812
I think he needs to be on the field and if given a fair chance to win the job, which I doubt, he probably would. Brunnell is just a horrible excuse for a starting QB.
Trevor
I'm hoping he gets a chance to compete for the job in camp and preseason. It would be the best case scenerio that he be ready. Brunell would then slide to number 2 where he is much better suited at this point in his career. If Brunell starts the year it will take a tremendous year by our offensive line and a ton of luck to keep him healthy and effective for an entire season. One little nick seems to take Brunell from a quality QB to Danny Wuerfel.
stwasm
It really depends on how his off-season development goes, leading into the summer workouts. It's really too early to tell now.
CapitalDefense
The only way Jason Campbell will play this season....... 1. He picks up this new offense very quick, outperforms Brunell in every OTA, minicamp and training camp practice. Lights the world on fire during the preseason games. 2. Brunell gets hurt
Louie 14
Trainning camp will decide it.
NattyLight
Phillip Rivers was / is higher profile than Jason Campbell and he's yet to take a snap. Don't be surprised if Campbell take zero snaps in 2006.
Jerrod6002
jason campbell has been a redskin for a year and has had no playing tome during his first season, do u think he will play next season maybe even possibly start? I believe that he will ride the pine unless Brunell gets hurt or we are eliminated from playoff contention. At that time he will start the rest of the season. SteelerSkins
get'em ready . . . rev. this engine up . . . collins will be there in case of trouble, but we have to start grooming this guy for real . . .
MisterPinstripe
As long as they have an open competition I am happy. If Brunell wins, he should start, if Campbell wins, that is a great sign and I would not be worried. But I DO want to see a lot of Campbell in the preseason against first stringers.
