Bush a "regular guy"

chomerics

Recommended Posts

I was watching the news the other day, and Bush was speaking at a banquet( I believe it was a clip from his first term). He said something along these lines: "I wanna welcome the "haves" and the "have-mores". Some call you the elite, I simply call you my base, ha, ha".

This is not something I want to hear coming from the mouth of the man that, unfortunately, represents everybody in this country worldwide.

When are Americans going to realize that the two-party system is destroying this country. It sucks I always have to choose between tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

A couple points.

First, Bush isn't fooling anyone. He's been working the whole down-home-Texan-I-can't-pronouce-big-words-good-cuz-I'm-one-of-you thing for years now, but I don't think anyone buys it at this point. He's a little rich boy like most politicians out there.

Second, there's nothing wrong with being a rich politician. George Washington was the richest man in the country when he become President. Throwing the term 'elitist' around, when talking about anyone in DC, is nonsense. We don't really want our leaders to be dirt-covered nose-pickers armed with little-to-no political savvy, do we? Of course not. Let's all stop pretending we do.

Third, you all really, really need to lighten up.

To me..... a regular guy is waiting for Payday...to pay bills and maybe go out 2 to 3 times a month.

Why does being a "regular guy" have anything to do with money? Who came up with the rule that "regular" guys are below the poverty line.

I always figured being a "regular" guy meant someone that you could go to the corner bar with, watch a game, drink a few too many, swap a few stories, stare at some hot chicks, and call it a day.

W may not BE a regular guy, but he can pull it off when he wants. A lot more than I can say for MOST pols on either side of the aisle, NONE of which actually are "regular" guys.

I can't wait for Payday so I can do all of the things you just mentioned....I didn't say anything about being below the poverty line....just when payday comes I can afford to do some things that is all....

:applause:

Yeah, John Kerry and the liberals are REAL broke. Poor souls.

August 06, 2004 7:22 PM

Subject: Resume--John Kerry

JOB APPLICATION

Why don't we hear things like this in the media? They're true.

NAME: John Kerry

RESIDENCE: 7 mansions, including Washington DC, worth multi-millions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Law Enforcement. I voted to cut every law enforcement, CIA and defense bill in my career as a US Senator. I ordered Boston to remove a fire hydrant which I considered unsightly, in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire.

MILITARY:

I used three minor injuries to get an early discharge from the military and service in Vietnam (as documented by the attending doctor). I then returned to the US, joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers. I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My book; Vietnam Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier shows how I truly feel about the military. I deplore the military!

COLLEGE:

I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

I ran for U.S. Congress and have been there ever since. I have no real world experience except that of a giggilo, by marrying rich women and running HJ Heinz vicariously through my wife Teresa.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

As a US Senator I set the record for the most liberal voting record, exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against budgets, thus gutting our country's ability to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted for every liberal piece of legislation. I have no plan to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected.

My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I make no or little charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in MA, despite family wealth in excess of $ 700 million.

I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in places like Asia, Mexico and Europe. We can make more profit from the cheaper cost of labor in those Countries, although I Blame George Bush for sending all of the jobs out of Country.

Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES: None.

PERSONAL

I ride a Serotta Bike.

My Gulfstream V Jet I call The Flying Squirrel.

I call my $850,000 42-foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scarmouche".

I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and feel it reflects our real culture.

I own several "Large" SUVs including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large polluting inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for the energy problems.

PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004.

Man, Stevenaa just simply DESTROYED chomerics in that response!

nice work bro..

Bush is wealthy, he has a family of amazing accomplishment. I don't think anyone in America believes he is some guy who grew up in a log cabin.

So what?!!

Was Reagan an elitist because he was wealthy? Is Clinton an elitist because he makes 45,000 dollars an hour for a speech?

Is Jesse Jackson an elitist? John "I married well" Kerry? John Edwards who has five houses?

the point is you tried to use a webpage which CRITICIZES waste and ineffiency- to try to prove that the President is elitist. At least try to make a stronger argument next time :applause:

I swear chommie must love the attention, because why else would someone start a thread like this and expose themselves. He's taken a virtual beating that I haven't witnessed in a long time.

Not hardly. Chomerics debates honestly and passionately, which I respect. I just don't agree with his position on most issues. We should make these debates more about the issues and less about each other(guilty). They would be much more interesting.

If anyone wants to bash on Bush for being rich, they got to look at folks like Bill Clinton and Goerge Soros. It doesn't matter anyway what side you are on. Conservative or Liberal. The west is run by vast conspiracy consisting of the Bilderbergers (Clinton, Peter Jennings, European Leaders...etc.), Skull & Bones (Bush), and the Freemasons. There is no Dem or Repub. It's to keep the masses in the dark.;)
