But, does this stay true for january also? im guessing that it does, considering he's been to a couple of super bowls. but does anyone actually know the exact record? TheSteve
I think its too bad that they have regular season games in january. January is the start of a new year and should signal the start of the playoffs.

Does anyone kno where to find this outGibbs's first-round loss was in 1984 to the Chicago Bears, who lost the NFC championship but the following year (1985) won it all by destroying the Pats in the Super Bowl. Skins missed the playoffs in 85, but by '86 Gibbs had reloaded to make the NFC chanpionship and the following year won his second Super Bowl. Bang
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1984.htm1984, we lost to the Bears, 19-23. As I recall, this was the game in which Theismann punted for 4 yards. The Bears took our punter out, and if you never thought they were important before, watch that game. ~Bang

75004
Teams should be concern with the way the Skins are playing. The coaches are doing a great job.

Yes - I think everyone is doing a Great Job. Things are going well, and everyone is firing on all cylinders - sorry for the cliche.
Darth Tater
In the last regular season game of the year, Gibbs is 10-3. This might be a better question since there was no bye week until 1990 so few regular season games were played in January (although the 1982 reg. season did go into January because of the strike). In January regular season games, Gibbs is undefeated at 2-0. Overall, Gibbs is 18-5 in January games.
