ntotoro
I'll be honest. I've been there twice and it didn't really do much for me. DC-priced steak that wasn't any better than any other I've had for half the price. [POSSIBLE SACRELIGE] I actually think an Outback Special is better than the Chophouse's sirloin. [/POSSIBLE SACRELIGE] Went back a second time with my fiance and a few other people about a month ago and it still didn't exactly knock me off my feet. She seems to really like their Hefeweizen, though.

I'll have to check that place out... I usually don't venture to DC much anymore in my old age (**snort**) since I get impatient. I, of course, get called old at home and get the constant "Why don't we do bla, bla, bla anymore... " Maybe I need to get out more...
zoony
A lot of people rip on Outback... but you can get a good steak there, especially for the money. I'm with you Nick... screw 'em.

If you do go to the DC location ... request Angel if he's there. He's the most attentive server that I've ever met. He's awesome. I highly recommend the calamari and at least two Stoli Doli martinis. Being that Laura hates seafood, but still lets me have fish fry every Friday, I get to have the whole order to myself. I can usually tell how good a place is by the calamari...

I'd recommend trying the Calamari Sampler at Legal Sea Food too ... its not on the menu - but it comes with three different styles: Traditional Calamari, Kung Pao Calamari and Rhode Island Style. zoony
not as good as Ruth Chris I have never been to the DC Chophouse but heard the desert where you have to order when you order your meal is incredible. Ruth's Chris is like McDonald's compared to Mortons. Not sure if there is a Mortons in DC?.... I know they started in Chicago and are in several cities. About 4 years ago 9 of us went to the one in Nashville... best steak I've ever had or ever will. But the bill for the 9 of us was $2500, so I think Ruths is a better value. IIRC you can get a steak and side there for around $40. ........

Raub
You know I've been to restaurants all over the country and I don't think I've ever had a steak as good as one I cook on my own grill. Little bit of Montreal steak seasoning, some crumbled bleu cheese on top, cooked just right over some charcoal with mesquite thrown in ....mmmmm....:hungry:

REALLY good, but also REALLY expensive. Ironically, I got a $100 gift certificate there for renewing my club-level seats when I had them. But, if you really want to venture in that MCI Center area, go to Tony Cheng's Mongolian Barbecue. REALLY nice! I'll even take you! ;-)

Sorry but the only steak I would say is better at Mortons then Ruth is the cajun ribeye, it just melts in your mouth There are Mortons in Tysons and Reston I would also say the best steak I have ever head was at Gibsons in Chicago, truly amazing and met Roger Clemons that night
