Gallntfox
I need some help..I will be in Vegas for New Years...thinking that it's going to be packed everywhere on New Years Day and wanted to find a good place to watch the Eagles-Skins game. Any suggestions from you Vegas veterans?
skinstzar
I went for the Super Bowl last year. I actually watched the game at a strip joint called Olympic Gardens. The sports books sometimes reserve the seats in the sportsbook for high rollers. There is also ESPN zone which is in NY NY. I had a really good time at OG. It is one of the least pushy clubs I have ever been too. You could also take a cab right to the outskirts of town and go to Hooters. It is not the best Hooters in the world though. I would say try the books and see how crowded they are. Then if they are too crowded try ESPN Zone, if that doesn't work, call the clubs and see if they have anything going on. Just remember everyone else is going to be doing the same thing you are, and the game is at 9:00am local time in Vegas, so now that I think about it, the books and ESPN Zone are probably your only options. That is pretty early after New Years Eve. Have a great time.

Going to a New Years Eve party at Mandalay Bay so I am going to need a little time to recuperate.
SonnyRules
Ceasars or the Las Vegas Hilton would be my picks.
RedskinsNation
I was in Vegas for the Chiefs/Redskins game....Go to the Mandalay Bay sportsbook. The game will start at 1pm EST which translates to 10am. Try to get there about an hour early and you can get a solid seat...grab some grub in the sportsbook (Turf Club i believe is the name) and watch NFL Gameday on the bigscreen. I enjoyed it...although we lost....saw a bunch of Skins fans there enjoying life.
thito_da_skins_fan
It makes no difference where you go... it's going to be packed. The bigger and better sports books are at the bigger and better casinos. My only suggestion is to get there as early as possible. Good luck!! DButz65
I was in vegas last year for the first preseason game when joe gibbs came back, watched that game at the ESPN Zone (right next to NY NY) got lucky and got the big sofa chairs/recliners up front with the speakers in the back of the headrests.... the last thing i remember was stumbling down the strip and i put $20 in a slot machine at some old run down place and won $700! skinstzar
Man I must have been tired this morning. I couldn't even get the time right. My favorite book is Bally's. They have done a lot of work on it and the TV's are good quality. Ceaser's book has really comfy chairs. If you are staying at Mandalay Bay, you could call and talk to a host. Tell them your gonna lay the dime on some games and they will probably reserve you some seats.

CalSkinsFan
I second that...Mandalay Bay is very nice...:eaglesuck I go to LV 2 or 3 times a season, going to be there for part of Thanksgiving weekend. I third Mandalay if you want to stay on the strip area. I haven't been to all the sportbooks in town, but it's the largest that I know of. Might also try Rio. I've been going there recently. It's off the strip a bit, but in addition to a fairly large book, there are 4 or 5 bars that have multiple TV's with mutliple games on. Just keep in mind all books are packed for every NFL Sunday, I'm sure moreso on New Years, so get there early as others have said. You'll have a blast, I always do, especially if you like to gamble on the other games. Good luck.
SnyderShrugged
If they are showing the game t "The Joint" t Hardrock, definitely hit that one up. Every commercial break brings scantily clad ladies and contests for the viewers. It is also great because it's like watching the game on a full sized movie screen. Free food, good drink prices and an awesome group of fans to watch with make it my #1 spot. If you get bored with it, then you can simply walk accross the street to "Paradise" strip club and have another great time (but in a different way) watching the game. hail2skins
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, there's a place called Jackson's Bar and Grill on 6020 West Flamingo Road that is supposedly a Skins bar. Maybe Thito or another of our Vegas residents can do a recon one of these upcoming Sundays to see how it is. True, there's nothing like watching a game in one of the big sportsbooks, but if the above place has a decent amount of Skins fans gathered there, it could be pretty cool. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2005/Sep-04-Sun-2005/living/2871834.html

I've never been there for a Redskins game, but I was there for lunch one day and I got the impression that nobody working there could name one player on the team. There's a small Redskins logo above one of the doors and that's it. Like I said, I haven't been there for a game, but it's not really a place I'd recommend.
