It is a Zoo. Every radio station people call in and blab about why they dont need T.O. Cancer this cancer that... when he 1st came here, he had the key to the city.. when he scored a TD this year noone cared and it was all good. I had a guy on the train tell me.. "What are we gonna do now!! We are doomed!" lmao I almost laughed in his face.. we are doomed?!?! lmao, that sounds like a meteor is hurling towards earth and there is no place for us to go...

Finally, balance to the "force" has been restored. The NFC East is good once again. The Eagles are slowly becoming THAT team that only can keep one of the other 3 teams in the NFC East from home field advantage.-- an annoyance on your schedule. Skins win vs Eagles, TO booted, Philly fans unhappy.. all is right again! Skins are staring down the barrell of a 6-3 gun! Lets do this..

Couldn't happen to the better organization. Are they were trying to buy a championship? Brought couple high-priced free agent. What they didn't hear about team chemistry? Or how Deion Sanders took Redskins money and ran away, or how Bruce Smith was playing only for his personal record.

Die eagles, die!

Bruce Smith wanted to play another year with us, but I think (the way I heard it) was that we told him "If you don't retire, we're going to cut you".

I will tell you one thing if they do implode (because I still think they will beat the Cowturds and will make it close in the NFC east). They will implode BIG. This is a team that had it all last season. Arguably got the best DE FA. It got one of the 3 best WRs in the NFL. Made it to the SB and lost by 3 and come into the offseason having TONS of draft picks and were way below the Cap.

Now imagine what they could have done with all of this. Forget about playing TO, hell I would have restructure his contract gave him an extra million and keep him happy. Then I would have traded some of those picks for a RB. At the very least I would have done the Westbrook contract in the offseason, I mean what took them so long. IMO they made their bed and now they are sleeping in it. Their cheap ways has killed a potential SB winner. End of story.

Dude, I live there from 1991 to 2004 and I can honestly say that city loves to be upset with their sports teams. That why WIP was so popular. It gave a city who already loved to boo a media outlet to discuss their anger at their teams. Its sad really because I really started liking the Flyers and Phillies and fans would trash them. Its just a different kind of fan base.

YO DOUG I WAS IN 426 ON SUNDAY--- SHIRTLESS!

but anyways. I am currently typing this from Philly and basically:

They are a joke of a franchise that will return to their rightly place as the doormat of the greatest division in the history of the NFL. They benefitted from lean years from three of the greatest franchises in the NFL all at the same time, as well as the presence of the Arizona Cardinals. Not to mention the overall weakness that was the NFC. Their fans are brutish drunken retards who serve to live a miserable life of dissapointment and their management hasn't helped to field a team that would dominate had they not been hell bent on being 40 million under the cap. Sure they fill up other peoples stadiums now, but where were they when they were 3-13? Donovan is a magnificent choke specialist who has crapped the bed so many times, the box springs have fertilized. This T.O. - Rosenhaus collab has finally drilled the final nail in the coffin. Bravo to them.

Although I will be rooting for them on Sunday.

C! H! O! K! E! R! S! EAGLES!

As much as I hate the Eagles, I would point out that you cannot compare the Eagles and Redskins' respective styles of bringing in free agents. They pratically got T.O. for nothing, he was hardly high priced, that is what he has been whining about.

As far as the other "high-priced" free agents, they only ones I can think of are Runyan and Kearse, and both have played just fine.

Accusing the Eagles of trying to "buy" a championship makes me chuckle, mainly from the standpoint of all the Eagles clowns I see on a daily basis complain about how cheap they are, how they are 10 million under the cap.

So true. Though he had his moments last year, TO was manageable. Had they decided to re-negotiate (which I would have considered since he gutted it out in the SB) his antics would have remained tame (unless he skipped his meds.)

And though I like WB, they need a pounding back. They could have spent some money for a FA or got some picks AND made additional revenues by fielding a team that would continue to go to the playoffs and championship games.

But their FO is cheap...very cheap. If they could make a lot of money and lose, that would be okay with Laurie.

Every Iggles fan I have ever known is never content unless they are in misery and ****ing about the team....this thread just confirms what I know.

:eaglesuck

gawd you are so right. I live w/an Eagles fan and this guy is always complaing about the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers or the Flyers.

Before they lost to Denver they were the ****iest fans on the planet...then they got embarrased in Denver and then they got beat by the Redskins (preceeded by countless Me-O outbursts).

However...the "true" Eagle fans do ***** about their team and will talk trash about "their" team but the second a fan from another team makes the same comment regarding the Eagles they erupt...its like they are the only ones good enough to talk trash about their own team.

Then you have the bandwagoners who just say stuff like we have made the playoffs and SB more recently (which is valid) and dont even address the turmoil in the organiztion cuz they are in it to show their anti-Redskinness and are grasping onto the SB appearance last year as a sense of pride and accomplishment against what the Redskins have done.

Again, Alexander was a free agent this past offseason. Philly had TONS of money under the cap. Bash Snyder all you want, but had he been the Eagles owner, Alexander would be an Eagle right now. You think anyone would give a hoot about TO now if they had a 1700 yard back in the backfield?

Instead, they muck around with Westbrook, run the ball less often than any team in the history of the world, and now they are now stuck with a couple practice squad players leading their WR corps. Poor Andy Ried, FINALLY trying to establish some kind of a running game with Westy against us, yet it doesnt work? Really? What a shocker.

Too late now. There is no running game in Philly. Your best runningback is struggling with a sports hernia. And if McNabb goes down the Eagles are done. Not just average, not struggling, but done. Squashed. Game over. They've ridden Number 5's arm and legs for five years and used it as an excuse to largely neglect the rest of the offense, and it's about to catch up with them, because the ONE time they brought in a decent player to compliment him, they low-balled the guy and it's backfiring. Don't get me wrong, I think TO is the biggest dufus in this mess. But he's not the only one.

Henry, that has been my stance on TO all along. Reid and company have been low balling players for years. They just messed with the wrong guy, and it burned them big time. I wonder what younger players on the eagles are thinking now. Guys like Lewis, Brown, Sheppard, L.J., they have commited to Westbrook, but they can't continually low ball players.

So true, heck they even could have gone after James. they had enough picks to throw a couple to the Colts for him. Honestly like you said can you imagine Synder with all that cap money AND the picks AND comming off a near SB victory? He would be like a kid in a candy store with a sack full of quarters.

All Philly had to do was yield a little, and break off TO a little bread... some sort of middle ground. But NO. They stood their ground and expected TO to be a happy camper throughout the season. How naive. I knew TO was going to shut it down once things got a bit tight. And this year, it is more than tight with the return of the old skool NFC east smash mouth football. TO was not going to risk injury playing for 'minimum wage' as he calls it. Lurie had the money and the cap room to make something happen. But they (philly managmt) miscalculated big time. They failed to notice that the 3 teams around them in the NFC East were getting better. They thought that worst case scenerio, they'd go 5-1 in the NFC East (as usual) and pick up 6 more wins from the other 10 games. That was the miscalculation. Now, they got no running game. McNabb is walking on 1 leg. And They got practice squadders masquerading as professional NFL WR's. Simply put: When you are cheap, you get what you pay for. Nuff said.

I agree with every criticism that's been put out there except for the fact that the Eagles WR's are "practice squad" material. Reggie Brown, a seldom used rookie prior to Sunday, is gonna be a star for them very very soon.

Reggie Brown flashed some of that potential on Sunday night in his first ever NFL start against our great secondary. Being as that he was my sleeper pick in my fantasy football draft this year, I made a point of watching him closely. He really showed me something, (I was there in sec 409 woohoo!)

Now, we could have played that slant of his better, but let's not take away from the fact that the man ran his route perfectly and didn't flinch at the prospect of getting whacked by our DB's. He also caught 4 more passes making for almost 100 yards and a TD in his debut. The guy displayed really good hands and a quick burst while matched up against our secondary, which is no small feat regardless of our recent struggles.

I think he'll rip up Dallas, and he'll only get better with Owens gone and more plays designed for his combination of speed and quickness. Practice squad guy? Nope.
