  1. It's not likely that all 3 lose and we win on Sunday. It would be phenomenal though. However, I could absolutely see 2 of the 3 lose and we win. That would be a huge success for us. Eliminates two of them. Then we dont even necessarily have to beat Dallas. We would just need one other game to go our way in week 18. It would be Washington gets in with win vs Dallas OR a loss by so and so. Two different ways for us to get in, in the last week. That's my realistic goal. Two of the three teams 0.5 back of us lose and we win. Looking pretty good at that point.
  2. Do other teams try to block elite pass rushers with a tight end, one on one like we sometimes do? I find it preposterous. I don't want to see anyone trying to block Myles Garrett one on one. I'd like to think that our best blocking TE Bates would be put on that side and help Leno double team MG the entire game. I doubt it happens though. I'm sick of seeing guys like Bosa, Parsons, Thibodeaux, etc completely wreck us. Not expecting to completely shut them down but it seems like preparations aren't even made for this problem. Smh.
  3. There is no way Curl would have allowed Kittle to literally run free, wide open, seemingly the entire game. It was beyond absurd. Kam is absolutely pivotal to our team.
  4. Their offensive line is actually playing like hot garbage. It's one of the reasons their offense has been abysmal for the last 6 weeks. I watch their oline a lot because I have Nick Chubb in fantasy football. It's been brutal. They aren't opening holes for him worth a crap. He has only gotten me between 9 - 11 points in 5 of the last 6 games. That's atrocious for an elite stud running back. In two of those games, Chubb had 34 yards on 14 carries and 19 yards on 14 carries. Pretty bad. He has only hit 100 yards rushing once in the last 7 games. Mostly due to the oline struggling. I'd like to think that our front 4 or 5 will give them fits. Now Carolina's offensive line however HAS been mowing people down in the run game. They're incredible. I am very glad that we don't have to play them right now, with a trip to the playoffs on the line.
  5. I didn't enjoy mine, that's for sure. It was horrible. For huge lifelong fans, who come on here atleast 10 times a day, seven days is an eternity. When my daughter messes up one time at school, she doesn't get immediately expelled or immediately suspended a massive, unfathomable, preposterous 7 days. She gets a verbal warning first. Most jobs are the same way. Starts with a verbal warning. I know it's posted, not to do it. Employee handbooks do the same thing. You still get a verbal warning for most offences. I guess what I'm saying is that I find it unbelievably harsh and strict. I missed out on all of the big Snyder news, Vikings gameday thread, and some other things. It was painful for me but there wasn't anything that I could do about it. I made a mistake but there was no bad intent or malice involved. I didn't know I was going to be obliterated by a humongous suspension. Oh well.
  6. The extremes that both sides go when it comes to Taylor Heinicke is very similar to politics. No objectivity. My side is always 100% correct. No happy medium. Why can't we admit that Taylor has limitations and probably not the qb of the future BUT still give him credit where credit is due? I haven't heard the Taylor pessimists give him praise for getting the pivotal 9 yard scramble on 3rd and 6 then get outta bounds, the huge 4th down conversion to Samuel, the perfect 25 or so yard throw to Cam Sims, the nice gamewinning qb sneak, the calm, poise, clutch gene etc. It's ridiculous to not be able to acknowledge this. Washington's organization was like 1 - 134 or something like that when trailing by 2 scores with 5 min left in a game. Isn't it phenomenal that Heinicke orchestrated that? We should appreciate the positive things. Especially with everything we've been through.
  7. Absolutely. He's not in the same hemisphere as his former self. Will he ever be? It's hard to say for sure. I hope so but Armani is incredibly more dangerous to opponents right now and it's not even close.
  8. For me, it's not just odd but its preposterous. A higher draft pick doesn't even come close to guaranteeing anything. To jump up off of my couch and say YES!! after Heinicke's int yesterday ( the way several fans on this board sound like they do ) is completely and utterly ludicrous. I have never watched a fan do this in person but if I do, I may file a 5150 hold and have them sent to the hospital for a mental evaluation. That's how absurd that I find it. The gb one was during his pumped up celebration after his go ahead touchdown catch vs Alexander. Which is fine but I just wish he'd wait til he gets to the sideline prior to ripping it off.
  9. I love Terry but he needs to stop with the ripping his helmet off to celebrate crap. It's gonna burn us at some point, like it did DJ Moore and the Panthers yesterday. Terry got lucky that we called a timeout right before he did it and I highly doubt he contemplated in a couple seconds " wait because of the timeout, I'm allowed to do this. " He was too amped to think that way. He got a huge break in Green Bay. The refs missed it. We also got lucky when Montez Sweat did it a couple of games ago. I don't care what people think about this rule, it's a rule! And the league is harping on it. So quit doing it!!! Or it will burn us badly and we'll all lose our friggin minds if it loses the game for us.
  10. St Juste is playing well but I highly doubt he's ready for Justin Jefferson. Maybe WJ3's " back " feels better and he can come in and shut JJ down 🤣
  11. Quite possibly. That would be absolutely fantastic, to go from 1 - 4 to 5 - 4 😁😁
  12. Yep the NFL is a week to week league. It's unpredictable and ludicrous outcomes happen frequently.
  13. It looked like Trai Turner played a lot better this evening than he did earlier this season. He was hideous in the first couple of games. Hence the benching. Seemed much better today. I still hope Charles recovers from his illness and is back for the Vikings game. Seemed like the absence of Holcomb didn't kill us. Sounds like a pretty good chance of Cole returning next Sunday. I felt like we had a pretty good game health wise and were excellent discipline wise. Didn't commit many penalties. Especially for a road game.
  14. We're not the type of team to win games comfortably. We haven't been for quite some time. I don't think an inexperienced rookie qb ( who coaches say isn't ready yet ) would change that. He'd probably get rattled and make a lot of mistakes. Maybe more than TH did. Not sure he'd have the perseverance necessary to win a game like this. Not at this point anyway.
  15. I have never been able to and will never in my life cheer for losses. At 1 - 4, I was so depressed and had the " here we go again, season essentially over in early October " vibe again. After a 3 game win streak, a 4 - 4 record, and in position to play meaningful games in November and maybe December, I'm absolutely thrilled!!!! 😁😁😁😁
  16. I agree. I am thrilled with the improvement of Jamin Davis. Huge for this defense!
  17. That's two weeks in a row. He's gotta be careful. They throw a flag for that seemingly every Sunday. I think it was legal today because we called a timeout before he did it.
  18. Robert Smith. Former great Viking running back. Not so great at commentating.
  19. I don't think it's a scam. Silva isn't a boxer. Jake's way younger, in great shape, and he's been training and boxing for years now. MMA is a totally different skillset than a straight boxing match. He's not the first talented former UFC fighter that Jake has beaten. If they fought in an Octagon, under mma rules, Jake would get obliterated. I don't like Jake's big mouth or personality but he's got guts, he works hard, and he clearly has some skills. They are also definitely choosing his opponents wisely.
  20. Yes, the Giants and Cowboys are currently the 5th and 6th seeds but there are 3 wildcard spots in each conference. The Rams are currently the 7th seed. With us just a half game behind them. I agree that we really need to win this game though.
  21. Playoffs chances wouldn't even be close to done if we lose this game. We're currently 0.5 games back of a wildcard spot. At worse, we'd be 1.5 games back with 9 games remaining ( if we lose and the Rams win ) That being said, I really really hope we win and get to .500 and improve our chances significantly.
