He used a clear one in college. I luv the tinted visor look, but the NFL cracked down hard w/ the emphasis on concussions. They want team medical reps to have a clear view of a players eyes when they get to them to help evaluate them. I believe you have to have a medical exemption to wear tinted visors on gameday now. Sux, but can't exactly be mad at the NFL on this one. Safety makes sense here.

To quote RG3 in a recent vid "Football is a 100% injury rate. All positions" There is truth to that. You don't wanna be the chronically injured guy for sure, but nobody is gonna avoid injuries altogether either. Even Kickers find a way to get hurt, and they pretty much just show up and collect a check.

The ability to stuff your own face w/ crow is exceedingly underrated. Props to everyone who showed up for mild ribbing And shame on those who slink away from it and choose to hide. As they should. I like Maye. He is a good prospect. I think he was the best of what was left when it came to the Vikes n Giants. I would have taken him at #3 if I was NE too. But none of that changes anything about what I said. We went to Mayes Pro Day. We had private meetings. He was in our top 30 visits. Clearly there were things to like. Hes not a bum. But throw a dart into the professional scouts aether and its almost a lock to find the description that fits a project. Is what it is.

Just because he didn't pick Maye does not mean Peters did not like him. They brought him along all the way to the end of the process. He was considered. What prevented Maye from being the selection was the amount of work that had to be put in him to get him where he needs to be to have a chance at success. Peters flat out said he was not looking to take a project, and Drake Maye is a project. Mechanics, footwork, decision making... practically all the fundamentals of the QB position. You don't take projects when you are sitting at the top of the draft and there are polished prospects with really high upside. You don't take God-Bod Anthony Richardson when CJ Stroud and Bryce Young are right there. It played out again this year. We got a player w/ uber high upside who already has polish in the most important areas you can ask for as a passer. You can't ask for much more as an NFL exec.

It was purely in regards to speed. He said Jayden could get over 21 mph (GPS clocked on that big run vs Florida), which is basically as fast as QBs get. Then he said the only other QBs that can do that are probably Lamar and Fields.

Love how GMAP focused on his abilities as a passer first, and then added "oh yeah and he can steal your soul as a runner too" Its JDs passing that makes him the prospect he is. The mechanics, the quick processing, the decision making and doing it against the best possible competition and athletes. Nice to see all those things played as factor for our new GM. Kliff and JD might seriously start living at the facility.

Awesome to get a guy of this caliber at #2. Personally I had him as the highest ceiling in the draft, so I luv the pick Kliff just got the ultimate toy to play with. His playbook is wide open GMAP putting his stamp on the team too Lets Go!
