I got no issue w/ group meetings, or outings. I don't like doing this on the last day however. Still feels unfair to some prospects who may have been able to lock in a more realistic landing spot w/ a final impression somewhere else. The 20 min round robin is also strange when considering QBs. I'd prefer to have long format sit-downs in front of film when I get to bring them into the facility. Don't dig the vibe, but whatever. You gotta think they have learned 99% of whatever there is to learn at this point, so maybe now is the time to throw a curveball.

I get the Heisman campaigning angle helping to build a mindset and methodology that forces the acquisition of stats, I've pointed that line of thinking out myself, but JD had 3 Passing TDs on 15 passes and 1 rushing TD in 5 carries in the first half and then sat the 2nd half vs Army.

Unless I'm mistaken the 17th is the last day for top 30 visits. They are bringing Daniels in for tonight (15th) and tomorrow (16th). They are seeing Maye tomorrow night (16th) and the day after (17th). Without cutting into someone else's visit I guess you could see JJ on the night of the (17th) and then have an off campus/site dinner on the 18th or afterwards. I don't think he can be in the facility after the 17th.

I don't think JD is a lock either. I do acknowledge the lean and feel good about the process tho.

Yeah... I don't care much about rankings vs unequal opponents. You can't normalize College ball like that.

I think they were referring to the end of the year Bowl game where the QBs naturally sat out as they were moving on to the NFL. LSU managed to beat Wisconson in a bowl game minus JD. Of course that was also pitting the 13th ranked 10-3 LSU from the SEC vs un-ranked Wisconson who was 7-6 from the Big 10.

Patriots have already met w/ JD and Maye. They had dinner w/ JJ last night and are meeting with him today. I don't think they have met w/ any other "down the list" QBs. It still feels like they are gonna stay put and take a QB. Hopefully its the remainder of the big 3 to box out the Giants.

JD just put up the most efficient passing season in college football history. Like ever ever. The idea that there are not a wave of metrics and analytics that not only support him, but blows others away is silly. Hyperbole and cherry picking.

Feels like an opportunity for the term "with daylight"

Early on I had to push back on the idea that JD was a "raw" prospect as a passer. Blew my mind. Bunch of people saw the running numbers and didn't even bother to evaluate him as a passer. Running is nice and all but its just an X factor. It his passing game that makes the money.

I liked Howell. I prefer JD. Felt he was much more a victim of bad circumstance that was absolutely Sparta'd into the wilderness, while being thrown off a boat w/ weights tied to his legs. But this is the NFL and prices have to be paid, so he lost his oppo here.

The poll was asking about who will be taken at #2, whether its by us or someone else.

Today has been a good day

Dang Bust rates are much lower this year. Testament to the crop of QBs. That 80% bust rate on rich is brutal tho. Dude has all the physical talent in the world but that don't mean much if your never gonna realize your potential.
