  1. Id love to see Chiesa on for one of the wide attackers for Italy. Locatelli and Jorginho are great at playing quick balls between the lines and Turkey is defending very narrow so having a wide threat might unsettle that back 4 a bit while maybe allowing Barella more space.
  2. Every player ideally needs players around him that accentuates his strengths and when you weigh out the benefits of doing so they are great in both cases. You can’t exactly say the clubs Mascherano played for in his prime were built around him either. Ironically Solskjaer landed the permanent gig because Pogba decided to be unplayable and did everything Fernandes is currently doing only better. Pogba’s issue is his moodiness but I don’t buy for a second he doesn’t have the ability of a player you build around, and I’ve watched every single one of his club matches from start to finish since he rejoined United.
  3. Superb use of hyperbole there bravo. Meanwhile if I may transition to objective assessments, everything France does is built around how the two complement each other, and Pogba was as integral as Kante in 2018. You don't watch Pogba on a weekly basis and the English sports media have a major hardon for him for whatever reason, but he's one of the most gifted footballers on the planet. He's wired a little differently and that's held him back at United along with not being used correctly, but to dismiss his ability is absolutely insane. He can do things only a handful of players in the world can do on the ball, and Kante isn't one of them.
  4. These situations used to happen because Snyder wanted to buddy up to the star players and go over the head coach's authority. I don't think that's the case anymore and Rivera might be at most annoyed with Chase, but it's not a hill to die on.
  5. We can debate til we’re blue in the face, but ultimately whether it’s an issue or not is decided in the lockeroom amongst the players and coaches. Not agreeing with the no show is one thing, but our opinions don’t decide that this is going to hurt the team as a whole. In college coaches will do the involuntary workout spiel to see who’s buying in and who isn’t, but when it’s grown men in a pro league involuntary means involuntary. Only fans are making a big deal out of this triple patty nothing burger.
  6. Bottom line it either had a detrimental affect on the team or it didn't and by all accounts it didn't. Nobody's opinion bears any relevance beyond that point.
  7. Neither Toney nor Hudson are anywhere near as good as Holcomb so I imagine he'll be on the field a lot more than them. I'd be surprised if it didn't end up with Davis at will, Bostic at mike and Holcomb at sam. That's our best three with some distance between 3 and 4 imo.
  8. I think a 320 lb guy with barely any body fat breaking down in the open field like a linebacker is very exciting.
  9. The rookie 7th round pick caught on to the new defense just fine with less camp and no preseason
  10. He moves incredibly well for his size but he really needs to work on his punch. It might be a placement or timing issue rather than a lack of power but when his hands don't land properly it effects his ability to sustain his blocks. He could be a first round pick if he cleans this up.
  11. 185 lbs is a non starter but I can’t imagine he’ll be that skinny if he decides to come out after this season. 205-210 would be the range for him yes.
  12. With skinny guys sometimes you see wiry strength l, which can compensate for a relatively slight frame. You see him absorb contact ok and break some tackles but that’s in the Pac12. RG3 was just brittle like he’d never seen a weight room.
  13. My money is on Jaden Daniels if he can put some weight on. Admittedly I mostly watch extended highlights so I don’t really have in depth knowledge about his game, but some of the throws he makes a jaw dropping, with fundamentals that aren’t a complete eye sore considering he’s only played a season and a half.
  14. Well Pogba continues to not show up in big games
  15. If all your routes look the same from a body perspective, from the snap to when you come out of your stem, you can run a pedestrian forty and still get open if you're quick. I love me some receivers with good route disguise.
  16. Somewhere in Tampa Bay Brady is chewing someone out for not drafting him. When he’s basically Ryan Grant. He was drafted where Ryan Grant should have been drafted at least.
  17. So that's Chris Ballard's secret he follows the ES fan mock draft.
  18. You must have a flexible definition of the word fact.
  19. Sometimes there's kids that come out of left field because teams want their names kept under wraps. Not saying that's the case here but it happens every draft.
  20. I love these picks because of the following aftermath: "Never heard of him so he can't play" "Would have been available as a UDFA" (How do you know?) "I had him much lower on my board" (How dare they not consult the draft board of fan on couch!)
  21. Nobody will ever call Kentucky LBU but they've produced a few good ones over the years. Wesley Woodyard, Bud Dupree, Danny Travathan, Avery Williamson, ZaDarius Smith, Josh Allen and now hopefully Davis keeps it going.
  22. My girlfriend read that over my shoulder so I had to explain you meant tight ends. She left the conversation more confused.
