  1. Or they just see and do things differently than a bunch of flunkies on a message board. This is not meant solely for your post, but just in general. We finally get what most of us ever wanted: Dan gone and a clean slate with a new owner, with a bonafide GM in charge, and 3 months into the tenure folks are making sweeping generalizations and hardline opinions on stuff they only know bits and pieces about. Perhaps we give it a year or two before we start worrying these guys are dopes. 🤣
  2. Rubbed down a chuck roast with Meat Church’s Holy Cow, pierced the roast and stuck a dozen garlic cloves in there as well. Seared it, now it sits for 8 hours in a jacuzzi of sweet onions, French onion soup mix, W sauce, and beef broth.
  3. Chicken and chorizo fajitas, with an Azalea ****tail while watching the Masters. Life is good.
  4. In the spirit of the Masters, an Azalea.
  5. I don’t see how the moves made thus far signify any type of “win now” strategy. In fact, I’d be gravely concerned if this was their version of a splashy win now offseason. We still have air at left tackle to protect whoever we draft. You have 53 roster spots to fill and there’s a healthy dose of veteran leadership sprinkled in which is important in setting the tone for a first year head coach. I also don’t believe that Peters or Quinn is concerned with winning now more than selecting the best long term QB. Both of these guys have rope here, there is zero need to gamble. If they select Daniels it’s because they believe he’s flat out better than Maye.
  6. My son is obsessed with Nando’s so I attempted to make it at home. Even bought the peri-peri salt from Amazon. Fired up the pellet grill with Royal Oak charcoal pellets, marinated some boneless thighs in Nando’s medium garlic sauce, a ton of puréed garlic and avocado oil. Recreated the Portuguese rice, side salad w, homemade balsamic, and air fried some frozen fries and tossed with the salt.
  7. Mongolian beef w/ griddled scallion rice and veg.
  8. Finished product. Flour with griddled cheddar for my son, more traditional for the wife and I.
  9. It’s not Taco Tuesday as it’s spring and I now golf on Tuesday afternoon/evenings, but this is the start of some carne asada. Butterflied and pounded flap meat rubbed down with adobo, sazon and Spanglish asadero’s mexican bbq seasoning, fresh orange and lime juice, crushed garlic, onion, cilantro, and avocado oil.
  10. Regarding Schultz “zoo” comments. I’m pretty sure I’ve read that Jerry markets everything for sale, including tours of the practice facility.
  11. Brilliant people get it wrong sometimes. Talented folks have bad days, games, seasons. So yeah, it’s always possible that any strategy can fail for anyone. But this is absolutely different and unlike any strategy ever deployed during Snyder’s regime. They are remediating the stench of Dan, and doing it by adding free agents to short term deals. There’s no splash here, it’s simply filling holes without long term commitment at this point. This entire offseason is the polar opposite of the way we operated under Dan Snyder.
  12. Yeah, it’s like you can sit there a curse a dude out on Sundays, but then you see they are just a regular guy shopping for a 3 wood and it’s different. 2000 though, I’m not sure he could retsrain himself.
  13. I cannot believe we locked down Wagner. Given the task at hand for Peters, having to overhaul a majorly talent deficient team - he appears to be turning 💩 to ice cream. We need help in the secondary, one way or the other. But I expect a massive turnaround on defense immediately, which is ideal for a young QB.
  14. Odd to spend the morning in the office “collaborating”, discussing the state of the team, which was all about how bare Ron left the cupboard. Stop in Golfdom in Tyson’s at lunch, and who is in the back clearance section checking out 3 woods? Ron Rivera. Auto pilot took over and I just blurted out “Ron Rivera, nice to meet you” and he said it was nice to meet me too and extended his hand for a handshake. I said “figured you’d be in Pebble” and he responded that he was and will be as “that’s home”. $40M earned here, and he’s shopping for used clubs like me. Moral of the story, people are fake. People being me. Spent all morning crapping on the job he did here, a few minutes later I see him and tell him it was nice to meet him. 🤣 He was very nice. Also, he carries a Louis V man purse. Dick Butkus rolling in his grave.
  15. Been a while since I checked in here, it’s just a lot better griddling when it’s not dark and cold. Homemade chicken teriyaki, pineapples and garlic scallion rice.
  16. Generally, I agree with you. I’d much prefer keep Howell and his $1M salary for the next two years, But it appears two things are at play: A. It’s clear this regime is looking to rid itself of the Rivera stink. Thus far, we’ve added about a dozen guys and haven’t re-signed one player that was on last years team. They clearly want their guys to mold into where they see this team going. B. Mariota is no threat for controversy. No matter how badly our new QB is playing, at most there will be whispers to go to Mariota. As opposed to Howell, where I could easily see the locker room, fans, media, etc. calling for him, should the rookie play bad. Additionally, if they sit the rookie for a bit to start the season- it’s safe to say there will be no tears for Mariota. Ultimately, they haven’t said the words, but this is a total rebuild - top to bottom. There will be pain before there is any glory. They are in the process of scrubbing this place clean and furnishing the joint with their pieces. But it will take a couple drafts before we see it come to fruition.
  17. The only signing I don’t like is Mariota. Like nothing about him as a player and don’t really find the whole veteran presence thing to be of much value. $6M guaranteed feels like a lot for him. Why not just roll with Howell, who is cheaper and could potentially surprise if he had to play? I see no point in dumping Howell for a ham sandwich.
  18. I’ve not read that Caleb is his dad’s puppet or anything like that. But everyone would prefer if a prospects dad is just a regular dad.
