  1. Nor is Trubisky and he went #2 Also, I personally feel The #2 pick is worth more as a trade down value than Tua. I see it as: 1) Young 2) Trade down 3) Tua i would much rather have Herbert, #18 pick and another pick in the 2nd than Tua
  2. Except Trent plays a position where you don't fall off a cliff at 30. Corners are all toast by 30 at the latest. Even Patrick Peterson feels like in major decline and he's younger than Slay! If Detroit wants Tua, i'll flip with them and take their 2nd. There needs to be a guarantee in the trade though. I don't even know if that's something they're allowed to do.
  3. At 29 and on the last year of his deal, I don't really see the point of Slay. Dude is gonna want 13-15 per year MINIMUM for his early 30 years. We've been down that road before. No thanks. If anything I can see Slay being traded to a team like KC or Philly.
  4. They need storylines and having both 1 and 2 set months in advance doesn't make for riveting television.
  5. I have no idea what you're talking about. 6. Honestly, cincy is better off trading out of the #1 for someone who wants Young. Cincy to NYG for #4, #36 and Engram
  7. Are we back to the "Dwayne is a major bust because he doesn't have work ethic and is immature" argument?
  8. Regardless, it's created a narrative that a QB may very well be picked in that spot whether by them or by someone else. And that has created a concern in GMs that they may need to move up if they want someone. IMO Detroit is in the best position and IMO the most obvious trade out spot. I'd be shocked if they're picking 3rd. Between Simmons, Okudah and Brown, the Lions can still get a BPA at a position in need and probably come away with an extra first and second with it as well.
  9. I'm not surprised of the "trade rumors" for Stafford. The team has a lot of needs and could go in a variety of directions with their first pick. If they could convince a team like Chargers, Vegas or Carolina to trade up for Tua instead of watching him fall to Miami then they're probably better off doing that. I absolutely don't see them truly wanting to get rid of Stafford no matter how overrated he is.
  10. That's my concern though. If you look at what they got, it was still better than the return on Rg3. He had one good year but for the most part, he wasn't worth the sum of Michael Brockers, Jenkins and Ogletree.
  11. It’s tough to know who ends up winning the trade even with that tidbit. Indy ended up with Benagu and Marvin Tell plus our second which looks like it’ll be a top 40 pick.
  12. Metcalf actually went in the second. If we never made the Sweat trade there's a good chance we would have drafted a WR in the second. At 46 the following guys were still available and picked before Terry. AJ Brown Metcalf Parris Campbell Whiteside Hardman Isabella Dionte Johnson Jalen Hurd
  13. Nothing adds up to this being true. No one else heard it, he wasn’t the aggressor when he hit him with the helmet, none of his teammates was told about it all week... dude is just trying to cover his ass and it’s a bad look for him.
  14. Maybe let’s see what he does after more than ONE WEEK before anointing him the next Jerry Rice.
  15. No idea. Dudes only played in 2 regular season games.
  16. I don't trust a guy who goes on IR twice in his rookie year. Now a thumb injury? These all concern me for a guy who relies on thumbs and ankles to thrive.
  17. I think he’s gonna be perpetually injured. Just a gut instinct. He’s gonna be our poor man’s Amendola. Eventually your gonna want receivers that can stay healthy to develop chemistry with whomever our QB is. Playing a solid game every other month isn’t gonna help. I assume we see a ton of Guice early to pound the line. He seems to want to be very physical and I think he’ll be a valuable weapon in passpo once he really picks it up. At this point I don’t trust any of our backs to be able to help out Case.
  18. I like the idea of big for weapons however with that pass rush and front 7 in Philly I’d rather have an extra blocker rather than Reed in there.
  19. I predict Quinn isn’t on the team next year. For some reason the brass has fallen in love with him and he’s shown zip.
  20. He was a disappointment, but I dunno about a bust. As others have said, a bust needs to have been a complete failure in terms of production and I don’t know if that’s Doc. The guy drafted after him had a whole 1 TD in his entire tenure in minny. You look at half the people in that first round - Eli Apple, Corey Coleman, Darron Lee, Paxton Lynch etc and we came out not too bad from that debacle.
